Create Twisty Waves Design in Illustrator Tutorial

I've NOT used blend tool.
Hello world, In this video, I've shown you how to create a twisted Waves seamless pattern in Adobe Illustrator. I haven't used blend tool. It doesn't work well with variable width strokes.
Once I saw MDF wood board like this but that was carved actually. It looks much alive. I wondered how can we turn it into a digital version? So here I explained the method to create one in illustrator.

Great tutorial...the only thing I would add is that when transforming the initial wave, ensure there is no white space. I ended up with holes..my curve was a little different, so I couldn't align it using the parameters you set; however, if I would have known from initial transformation that there this should be a seamless pattern, I would have ensured the duplicate waves were better aligned. But thanks a million! I love this design!

how did you use eyedropper tool in gradient? I want to change the color of a certain gradient point, but if I use eyedropper tool, the whole color changes and it isn't gradient anymore.

Ok. 2.857 is 20(zigzag) devided by 7(count of lines). But why 410? Why -7 and -8?

Those figures are just a number which best align with current artboard size & resolution, and brush width. If line width differs even a point, you'd see some gapes between lines after applying transform effect.
