And you have made a stencil ! So if you cut one more and not put a back piece on you have a matching stencil! You can use inks to make a shadow enhancement etc. I have to check and see if the mylar can be cut with a diode laser, but ig not, it wont be a problem for my silhouettes. Thank you for all your work you put into sharing with us🤗🤗🤗

It's so much more than an embossing machine. These do die cuts quickly and easily. I bought a cricut explore like 7 years ago when I started making cards because I liked the idea of being able to customize things. I'm super picky about what I like so I figured it was perfect for me. What I didn't anticipate was how much work it would be to design and create. The worst part is having to clean off your mat all the time. I did use it once in a while, and eventually upgraded to a maker, but I have literally used it maybe 5 times, because it's so much work. I used to make stencils for my Etsy shop, but it was such a process that I stopped selling them. I hate cleaning mats, and I refuse to use them like they're disposable. So I now use my manual die cutter more often than anything else, for personal use. I'm also kinda confused how you have a glowforge, several cricut machines, and went out and bought a brand new spellbinders die cutter, which is the larger model, yet you say embossing folders are expensive 🤔 I have many, many embossing folders, but since I am looking for something very specific, and I can't find it, I am looking for other options to make my own.
@ashleefalco2 жыл бұрын
My issue with the embossing folders is that they don't make the ones I need, so having the ability to make your own is such a plus!

@pearll91862 жыл бұрын
Hey use two embossing mats instead of 1, one for the bottom n one for the top. And only use the cut out panel with the paper in your die-cutting/embossing machine (without the backing sheet). You will get more impression like embossing folder. Give it a try, I've been doing it for so many years and never bought embossing folders again🥰❤️
@ashleefalco2 жыл бұрын
I did try doing it that way a couple times and got some weird ghosting presses. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. :(

I can't see any details on what you are holding up to your camera. I was hoping for a deep etch embossing, that would mean it can't cut through the sheet. Any idea how to make something like a rubber stamp texture sheet?
@ashleefalco2 жыл бұрын
it order to do a rubber texture sheet, or a rubber stamp you'd need a laser cutter to make it.
