Being a fintech software developer, this made me chuckle. Especially seing who made this definitely-not-an-ad... Under the guise of "making a guide/tutorial" you describe how very difficult a process it would be to create a payment gateway, stating all the compliance requirements and so on, while leaving out how to actually do these things, and, actually, it's not all that complicated when you really think about it... It's like watching a tutorial on cleaning and waxing the floor, which highlights the mindnumbing tediousness of the process and then seing it's made by a cleaning company... Why immerse yourself in this very very very boring and difficult process, when you can pay us to do it for you, right? 😂

It’s no biggie if you are the developer of the payment gateway...having devops knowledge on top makes it more easier...video doesn’t mention but most modern payment gateways handle tokenization within them.

I really appreciated this video. I was finally able to understand the Acquiring Partner purpose in this process. We are currently setting up our own payment gateway, but have not found a good acquiring partner yet. Do you think we should focus on establishing an acquiring relationship before evaluating the gateway technology, or could we do these things in parallel?

Your comment is highly appreciated. Unlike the setup of a payment gateway, banking relationships development can sometimes turn out to be a long process. You would do well to start looking for an acquiring bank to work with as soon as possible. Once you set up a payment gateway, it must be connected to an acquiring bank to settle funds.
