This was great. I learnt a lot of stuff, and the fact you give your asset entirely free, without even having to give my email, is what sold me on subscribing to you - to help in return. Thank you for this great tutorial and for your generosity with giving the asset!

okay! I'll try exporting it to UE5 and will let you know how it goes.

@@kbrender by the way I find the fbx/obj file exported weirdly small (less than 2Mb) so I suspect that it isn't exported in the file did some researches on my side and I don't think it's possible to export mixed shader textures, but you're more experienced so I think I'll leave you to it
@tommyhayes8702Ай бұрын
Sorry, Kylsonn, but this is unusable. Not only is the layer weight node not working as you describe it, but your downloadable blend file, which I downloaded for comparison per your recommendation in response to another poster whose Layer weight node wasn't working as you describe, chokes my machine down. I've got a half-million particle sim that doesn't pull as much juice and this is just a shader. I don't know what's going on, can't even look at your nodes because of lag this file causes. I thought I'd let you know. It's a shame because, if it were serviceable, it would be a brilliant solution for a problem in a project that's driving me mental.

@SCPshadow2000yt @tommyhayes8702 I wasn't able to create a lighter version of the material, but I've just changed the download file on my website so it doesn't use cycles by default. Now, you can open the file and select the render engine you prefer. For your case, I recommend using Eevee.
