Hector Perez I use Rust-Oleum crystal Clear Enamel. I buy it at Home Depot. It suppose to be the same as Testor’s Wet Clear. They are made from the same company from what I have heard.

Why did you use the airbrush cleaner to reduce the pearl paint and not the 4012 high performance reducer? Just a quick tip.. that 4030 is a clear urethane and turns the paint into an acrylic urethane which makes the paint stick better, is harder to scratch and flows better out the airbrush with less tip dry. I recommend you use it at all stages of the process. especially the with your candy and gloss top coats. Another question why did you do your final top coat with rattle can clear when you have the correct gloss top coat for your paint and mixed with the 4030 is a nicer finish then rattle can which would only require maybe a light buff and polish to get that show car finish?

I think I used the airbrush cleaner because I think that it called for on the bottle. I have tried their gloss clear and it is more Matt. So I prefer the rattle can clear but I will have to try your method next time. Thanks

One again awesome work buddy. I'm no pro when it comes to Createx paints and I haven't used any of the pearls yet so there must be a reason to use the airbrush cleaner vs the high performance reducer. I'll be doing some research on why that is and will post it here in the comments to let everyone know.

I guess they say the gloss top coat is meant only for fabric's like leather and also wood. it's not meant for mental so your better off with your rattle can clear.

I still use the top coat between the pearl color and the candy and I plan to use it as a Matt finish.

You put rustoleum Crystal clear over the paint itself? Or over the createx gloss clear?

You can put rustulem crystal clear over the creates gloss clear if you want. But I have changed my process a little bit. I first put a light coat rustuleum clear and light dry for 5 minutes. Than I apply another light coat of rc coat. Let it dry 24 hours. Wet sand the clear with 2000 grit sand paper. Not to aggressively, just enough to cut down some of the ruff ness of the clear. Clean the body and apply two more coats of clear. 1 light and 1 a little heavier. Keep the can as far away from the body as possible so you don’t over due the clear. Let it dry for 24 hours. Than wet sand body with 2500 grit sand paper. Follow with the three Novus polishing compounds and finish with coat of wax. Be careful with sharp edges of the body. It real easy to cut through the clear and paint.

Audio needs work-- very murky, and sub-normal volume. Although I found no other posted comments on the audio, my own audio system works just fine on other KZbin videos.

$1,000 of additives and high dollar paint, then cover it with clear enamel. no man, just Stick to Duplicolor.
