You might be experiencing a sensitivity or allergic reaction. Here are some alternatives that can provide similar benefits without the irritation: Vitamin C (Ascorbic Acid), Panthenol (Vitamin B5), Ceramides or Centella Asiatica (Cica)

Thoughts on using glycerin to sub the propylene glycol?

If you replace propylene glycol with glycerine, the serum will become thicker due to the higher viscosity of glycerine. To counteract this increased thickness, you could reduce the amount of xanthan gum to 0.3g, which might help maintain a desirable consistency. However, without testing the formulation myself, I cannot guarantee that this adjustment will work perfectly.

Hello mam , my hand is too black as compared to my whole body can preppare 10% glycolic + 10niacinamide + 5% lactic acid combination in the cream form can i prep cream with the 3 actives conc for 3 to 6 months

Be cautious when using multiple active ingredients. A combination of 10% glycolic acid, 10% niacinamide, and 5% lactic acid can be potent and may cause irritation, especially on sensitive areas like the hands. This mix can help lighten skin over time. Glycolic and lactic acids exfoliate, removing dead skin cells and promoting cell turnover for brighter skin. Niacinamide reduces hyperpigmentation and evens skin tone. However, high concentrations can be harsh. Start with lower concentrations, and always perform a patch test first.

When I say my solution has 10% Niacinamide, it means that Niacinamide constitutes 10% of the total weight of the solution. In my recipe, 3 grams of Niacinamide out of a total of 30 grams makes up 10% of the formulation. My recipe correctly creates a 10% Niacinamide face serum because the total weight of my formulation is 30 grams. 3 grams of Niacinamide out of 30 grams is 10%.
