Daniel, my dearest, I know that is a battle with ourselves not to try to be perfect but it is necessary to remember all the time that "the woods would be very silent if no birds sang, except those that sang best". As far as possible take it easy and try to enjoy every moment because the years fly by and the hardest part to take is that they'll never come around again. Give yourself all the permissions you need, we will always be here on the other side of the screen supporting you. I would never take it the wrong way if you didn't answer my comments. We don't need your perfection, we only need you being you, no matter what. Love you. Peace.

Hello Daniel. Whenever I can I watch your videos because your videos give me a lot of peace. I would love to be able to see that same landscape that you are seeing. It's really beautiful. I am writing to tell you that I also have that same feeling that you have. We share that same feeling of self-demand. I feel that every day I demand too much from myself, I create expectations that are too high and not being able to meet them deeply frustrates me. I don't know how to work those feelings inside me, I'm 35 years old and I'm still like that. But I have managed to value everything I do a little more. I think the secret is to love ourselves a little more each time. I send you a big hug from the north of Spain. Kisses, Rocío.

From one introvert being to another - we understand it is impossible for you to comment or respond to everyone and please don’t feel sad. We enjoy just saying ‘hello’ 🙂 and know that you have heard us. Lovely video today Daniel. You are accomplishing so much -be proud of you and enjoy all the bounty of summer. I understand your sadness about the forest clearances too. It also breaks my soul to hear this. Just live in each second of moments. Negative karma to those whom make asinine decisions and who sanction and support these ideas. Their rewards will come too! Much Love is sent to you from PD in the UK XX

Hi Daniel. My friend Sean, who owns a Homestead, his mantra is "Slowly, Slowly." A garden takes time, love, and perseverance. Not BLOOD SWEAT and TEARS !! Yes, it takes blood, sweat, and tears to get a garden off the ground, but not Craziness, right ?? Happy "getting water and laundry day." It is (25c) right now in Montreal at quarter to eight in the evening. We had our first THUNDERSTORM the other night. It was beautiful. Take It Easy !!

It's odd that your video was ending on a windy note, because you brought a breath of fresh air into life tonight for me Daniel. Thank you for sharing your hard work on your garden~it is a labor of love! Be kind to yourself, you are very deserving of that! I am sad to hear about the deforestation going on in Sweden, and I must ask why? And are there any protests over this? Maybe some good fellow Swedes should consider being tree huggers, and refusing to get down out of a tree when it faces destruction? Trees are so magnificent and to take their lives, and the forest creature's lives as well (for they will have nowhere to dwell), well it is wrong, and it should be stopped. It's far nicer to be able to simply stick our noses in a fragrant flower, and giving it a kiss like I do (watch out for pollen on the tip of your nose), so sweet and all, but I guess we must take a stand to save Nature from rash, and very wrong destruction~I think people all over the world should try to stand up to those that bring ruin to all of our lives. I heard that Finland is losing a lot of forest too. Super sad. But all of that said, you yourself are a bright ray of sunshine in a sometimes dark world~thank you dear Daniel, and sending much love! 💙💚💛

I am nervous today because I'll start a some days and nights biking - tour today with a friend and have to think of so many things - then l saw there is a new video of Daniel and I decided to look at you for calming down and getting peaceful again - and it worked, THANK YOU 🥰🙏🏽! I know this trying to be perfekt SO good - l am not able to work for money (l know, it sounds stupid, but it's the truth 🙈), because then l loose all respect for my own boundaries... I went through burnout and depression because of that again and again and really hated myself for not being able to fit in this system... But after all l decided to leave the idea of me being successfull in this (and that was not easy...). Now l work without money in an ambulant hospice, l care for house, garden, animals and my family and my soul heals, I am able to look friendly upon myself and I really think, everybody is so unique and your own worth must not be a worth through the eyes of everybody. Your summer-goal is a wonderful one and l wish you all the best on your way reaching it 🥰💚! And don't feel pressure answering every comment - you are in advance with your video and all your content, you prepare for us-our comments are the way to say thank you 😊😘

I got a couple of chuckles from this video. 1) When you were building the garden bed, I thought "who are you burying there!" LOL 2) When you got into the water and said it was cold. I thought, this coming from the man who was taking ice baths just a month or two ago! I, WE, understand if your camera isn't working properly. Even if you have to record "lower quality" videos using your phone, we would all understand. We just like seeing your progress you are making living "up north" and would enjoy any content you upload. Gardening is really hard work especially getting the garden beds ready. I think it’s very easy to go a bit overboard when starting out because you get excited to plant everything. It is also so difficult to calculate how much soil is needed. Whatever you imagine in your head, make it ten times more. I push myself very much as well but I enjoy the feeling of accomplishment once I have managed to do something really hard. Also my wheelbarrow weighs extremely much! 😅 I relate to everything you’re saying about doubting ones abilities and making videos is the hardest part of the work and getting the editing good enough. The growth of my channel is completely stopped lately too so sometimes I start doubting even having a channel and just stopping the filming. 😓

Hey Daniel! It is very very sad that everywhere u look, all the trees are being cut down, it's pathetic! No wonder the poor wild animals have to come further into civilization because they have no where else to go! It's really terrible that developers don't care enough to save out trees and animals!!! The almighty dollar trumps life every single time! Your greenhouse is coming along so well!!!! You have some really good friends who help out Daniel! Wow, you are going all out with planting, it's great!!!! You should be happy about getting the washer to work right!!!! You should love it where you're at, it's truly, magical, no other word for it, but, magical, total magic, is where u live!!!! Slow down, live life, living simply is the best! The garden will be there when you get to it Daniel!!! Take care of yourself and thank you for another fun and interesting video!!!!! And Daniel, it's okay if you can't reply to our messages! The ones of us who understand, understand that you can't message all of us! Don't feel bad, we understand!!!!! So happy that Patreon fixed their mistake!!! I sure hope u get your camera fixed soon!!! Hello Daniel! Don't be so hard with yourself ❤️‍🩹 Nature has its own timing, no matter how fast you want to be, or your own vision. She will tell how and when. "Patience is the mother of science" (it rhymes in spanish, my language, but not in english, haha!) I know what it's like to have anxiety about that self-demand. I know it to tears. As you say, you have (we have) to enjoy the journey. One step at a time, one day at a time. When you were talking in the video, the lyrics of a Morcheeba song came to mind that say "Stop chasing shadows, just enjoy the ride." Well that's it my friend. Calm down and enjoy. I loved seeing your new video, the progress, the clean water, the washing machine working! The issue of deforestation is a problem that we will all pay for, unfortunately. It happens everywhere, unfortunately. For that, Mother Nature will also take her time. 😢💚 Where I live, in the north of Spain, they planted lots of eucalyptus trees at the time because it is a tree that grows quickly and the industry demands it. But it's not a native specie, so it has destroyed the natives here. Now there is a movement to gradually recover what is native, but I don't know if I will ever see it big and leafy 😅 I'll look forward to your next video! 😍 They are wonderful 🏞️

I think one of the most important messages we have to learn in our lives is to understand that we are enough just as we are. And that everything we do, as long as we do it with gratitude, a little passion and happiness, is enough. Society and the modern world with all its money and stuff is so draining and influencing us on "work harder, otherwise you're not worth anything". And I really think we should work against that, with love ❤ This can be one philosophical topic we can talk about next time we meet 😄🥰 I enjoy talking with you very much. Thank you for this wonderful video! (and the drone shot at 16:02 ... WOOOOOOOOWWWWW LOVED THAT!!!!! 😍😍😍)

I’m always at the ready when a new video of yours is here. I take the time out to watch in my my most comfortable place, my bed. Mostly it’s at night as I’m getting ready to sleep, because your videos are calming. Plus I am comfortable, sans clothing, as I view the beautiful images you put in your videos. One of the things I know about people, is that we are harsh on ourselves, more so than to others. We become critical of our work, we set high standards for ourselves, even to the point of making unattainable goals. I personally have found that I have to just be happy with each small achievement I make. Working on my art studio, (which I thought would be finished on the inside by now) I had lofty goals of being in the studio doing all my art, and having clients coming all of the time. It didn’t happen. But I’m not sad. I just changed my goals to be easier on me, and I’m happier for it. So take your time and enjoy life. Do what you can, but don’t punish yourself for what you can’t do. I hope you don’t stay gone too long with not having a camera. It would make my weekly enjoyment a bit sad if I couldn’t see a video from you. I don’t care if the audio is a bit off, or the video quality may not be the best….just having this moment is good. So keep posting even if you don’t have the best equipment to do so with. I’m sure we will all watch with the same enthusiasm as we have now. By the way…noticed your hair getting a bit longer….looks nice. 😊 ❤❤

How lovely to hear your voice again. That in itself is a joy. By the way, the audio is perfect ! I know that you can forage for blueberries - we have seen you do it. But, could you consider planting gooseberries, red and black currants in your garden. These small bushes are easy to cultivate - although they would require protection (netting) from birds once they start to fruit.

Daniel water your plants in the greenhouse automatically, don't just give up filming, Daniel just keep going, film as much as you can, film with anything, the main thing is to go ahead Daniel do it, with a borrowed video camera, a simple Gopro, a smartphone, don't worry so much about whether we like it, leave it to us if we like your videos, if your tone picks up some natural noise, then it's like this, only those who do something get success.

Hi Daniel, nice to see you, your magnificent video full of beauties, nature, peace, your hard work ... 🥰 I love it. Your garden is amazing. I feel you, I'm an introvert too, so don't forget to take time for the rest and don't be too hard on yourself. Have an amazing time, see you, bye 🌞🤗

Hi Daniel, you might consider a Bluetooth lav mic that connects to your phone for audio until your camera is fixed! Record with a free sound app and then add the audio as a separate track for the edit. Sync the two when you start video recording with a single sound/movement (hence the 🎬 in movies! - you can do this with your hands). I bought a single BOYA BY-V1 lav mic recently for £30 (GBP) and the quality is good and it has a decent battery life of several hours. There’s a few videos on here that review the product so you can research it if you’d like. Hope this helps and thank you for another enjoyable video!

Bonito video y me encanta escucharte.

Daniel, remember always that you are enough! You are valuable just for the mere fact that you exist, an important thread in the Universal fabric. Your work is so appreciated, sharing your story, your home, your life with so many is such a gift to the world. We each have our own innate talents and by exercising them, we are the best version of ourselves, finding joy in our being. Much love and support from the Western US. Enjoy your summer!

Hey Daniel! Those shots of the lake, especially the drone shot of the place with the clouds reflected in the water...that made me smile and sigh, as if I was seeing it all in person :) So, thank you very much for this gift ❤. And, what a lovely human being you are! You don't need to be or do anything extra. You're unique and I wish you all the contentment and joy that your heart can take. May you go as easy and naturally as your garden will 😉😊. Nature never tries too hard. Much love, from India!

Daniel, perhaps one day! I returned to photography once I retired in 2006. I never expected to create books of nature photographs, or write and have published six books of poetry, or move to a house in the woods on a rural hill in Maine in the United States. I share many of your values and principles and would, if you like to, meet you in Sweden. May i send you a copy of "Images: 2000 to 2023," a book of photographs published this spring? John

Such a beautiful video! It's so smart to review and revise your expectations from time to time. Whether it's a garden, a school project, personal development or just getting through the week - listen to your heart and allow yourself the time you need. By the time you have your camera back you will have so many things to show us in your garden! Best wishes from New Mexico! 🙂

Oh I really feel your sorrow talking about the deforestation 😔 Since I moved up here they amount of clear cuts have just exploded and it breaks my heart that so much is just forest desert at this point. Ruined forever. I love how it feels like we're thinking about the same things a lot haha, I'm in the midst of uploading a video where the theme is "pacing yourself" 🙏 Which is something that really doesn't come naturally to me 😅 Let's start enjoying our paths 🥰

Hi Daniel! I always appreciate getting to watch the videos you share about how your living your life. Even through a screen you're spreading joy and smiles to others faces and you've inspired me to put in the effort to be kinder to bugs that need help. Also though, and I say this with love, maybe be careful about choosing different music than Jonna does to include in your vlogs just to insure no hard feelings. All the best!

Are they cutting down the trees to make new houses. It would be better to do it in a managed way with cutting and replanting. Your planting beds are looking great. I can't wait to see all of the plants. I like how you seems so alive when engaged in nature. I am glad to see you have a beautiful like kitty friend to keep you company. It is great that your dad is always there for you. Hopefully, they will retire and spend more time with you. How do you keep the barn warm with all of the openings in the wall? Your backyard is beautiful. You are very lucky.

My dad is the best! ❤️ About the forest, I think a big part of it is sold to other countries, and another big part is becoming wood you build with etc. Oh yes, this little kitty comes here quite often to say hello! But she's not mine. Hoping to have a dog one day though! And about the barn, the temperature in there is pretty much the same as the temperature outside... That's why I can't use the shower dyring winter, the water in the pipes would freeze! 🥶

Look up Bill Mollison and other permaculture designers and think about how to "garden" in an EASIER way on you. To make a new garden bed on grass in your first year you can layer cardboard down. Put grass clippings and a small amount of manure if you have it on top. Then put potatos on it and layer on top straw or even wood chips. You''ll be able to harvest potatos in the late summer/fall and you don't have to "dig" the bed. Get things growing themselves as much as possible with permanent plantings.
@DanielErik

These are all things I'm doing actually! 😄 But I don't really have any straws and other organic material saved, so the hard part is collecting all of that! But if it wasn't for these methods, it would have been even more work! Thank you for the recommendation of Bill Mollison, I will check him out! ☺️
