Hi Daniel. Your homestead journey begins. WOO HOO !! The greenhouse looks nice. I'm sure it will be productive. When Aurora was in Iceland at the KEXP Hostel for a performance, amid the show she took off her shoes saying, "Life is better without shoes !!' Here in Montreal, our apartment is 17 stories up, and we look West out our living room windows. The sun tracks from left to right daily, across our viewing sightline,. As the year progresses, the sun sets farther over. We can see for miles on a clear day. And the sunsets are never the same two days running. We go from blue sky, to orange, to pink, to light blues. I've seen pinks as you were seeing it there. There are some really PRIME sunset spots on the far side of the mountain, I've seen over the years. The sky changes nightly here. I'm sure the greenhouse will be successful. Now to speak to mum and dad about that "List of Things to do" and see which ones they will sign off on for summer projects. I think you know now, what needs to be done first, right ?? Frozen poops in an outhouse and frozen shower stalls and walking to do them in deep snow, does mean things to ones mind.

Hi Kats! Thank you for such a nice comment! And no, I definitely wouldn't want it to blow away! It would make me so sad! Right now it's only pinned down with the "tent stick" (the ones you use for a tent) that was included, and they're not strong enough! Kinda weird how you don't get things included that will work! 😅 I was away yesterday to meet a friend, and was worried the whole time since it was blowing quite a bit! But everything was fine when I got back home. Tomorrow I will make my own things to hold it in place properly! ☺️ Wish you a beautiful day! 🥰

So exciting! I'm glad you're feeling better and the days will be easier on you. Winter can be so beautiful but it can also be oppressive. I'm moving to a rural area in the mountains and I plan on having my own giant greenhouse as an escape that I can garden in all year long. It's a lot of work but I think you are already enjoying the benefits. For a novice gardener you are amazingly thoughtful about your plants and how to care for them. Don't forget to give yourself some grace for all the trial and error that comes along with the process of growing food. Take notes on what works and things to avoid down the road. I can't wait to see how it all starts turning out. The joy on your face is a gift 🙂

For the next winter: get a ToilettePot. Its something so so cool if you are living on places where are not warm & comfortable bathrooms. You cab always choose when you want to empty & you have only to make a hole in the snow, not like me, i have to make them in the earth, but its the best for gardening. Hi Daniel good luck with your food growing! In March and April I turn my conservatory into a greenhouse as the sun is finally high enough to reach and it gets warm. Strangely some seeds grew this year and some didn't. Maybe I get a greenhouse one day.. Well done you. I have cardboard down in veg patches outside we call it a no dig garden. As u I am glad winter is over. It was long here too. Unlike you we had only some crispy snowy weeks and mainly this wet damp cold which I find worse. As with you my main source of heating is a fire a bit easier as yours as I have a multihull stove and heat with smokeless coal. And unlike you I have a prer bathroom. We had an amazing rainbow cloud earlier this (nacreous clouds). It was amazing I saw it one morning from the sofa and ran out in the frosty garden in my pyjamas to get photos. Nature never stops to amaze me. May you have a great harvest and may we have a wonderful summer. As always sending you the warmest wishes from the North of Scotland. Take care!!

Daniel, gorgeous video! The pink skys were gorgeous. Great job on the greenhouse. I worry that the tiny greenhouse is too opaque to allow the sun in. I live where it is 96 degrees Fahrenheit every day in the summer and plants still grow. On the downside, you have to water plants more often when its so hot outside. The Green house is nicely set up n the brocolli's look healthy n in a good place my favourite moment was the skating view n that stunning view of somewhat orange clouds :) happy to know that now you're able to go out in the sun n can also have open baths in a flowing water .Enjoy the days ahead Daniel ♡

Only if there is much rain or cool weather in summer i'll advice you to rather close the greenhouses with the zip so not everything will fly or be washed away but after this, there should be no problem at all with it! @@DanielErik Hi Daniel ,I've not got any veg this year I've just been so busy with moving my horses into new stables and loads of jobs related,and still on going. So it's mainly flowers,and all frome seed. I've so far grown pansies,Gorditia,Marigold, Night scented stock,sweet Williams.sweet peas,few others but can't remember at present. I do take cuttings aswell from friends gardens, and winter before last I planted 25 Acorns, and they have all survived and ready to plant out,can never have enough trees. Hi Daniel! Your greenhouse is looking great! I planted broccoli last year for the first time and they need quite a lot of space. I believe they also dont like it too hot because they easily go to flower then. Another think I found out whit gardening is that there is never enough soil. 😂It is lovely to have spring and light back again! Take care!
