Wow, Kathleen! I really enjoyed your video! You have so many great organization ideas! I have often thought that I need a file cabinet. I think that is a perfect way to organize paper and books. Hello Kathleen... I can't stop admiring your crafty happy place... Old fournitures, vintage kind of storage, mixed with some modern ones... You have made such a lovely room, even if you find it too small... It works, and that is the most important thing to find inspiration and creativity. Love your craftroom... Thank you for sharing it. You've got a new (and french) subby. Take care. Christine.

I have been looking for one of those larger file cabinets but only found the 2 drawer ones😕 I had collected those trolls until my house got broke into and all stolen 😢 I wish I could hang my laces like you do, but not a good idea with a playful cat around 😛 I took my closet doors off a year or so ago also and wow what a wonderful difference it makes. I painted inside the closet a sea moss green(?) and now want to paint my whole studio that color instead of this awful dark brownish yellow that was apparently in style a couple decades ago. I am so jelly of all of your wallpapers you have. I have none 😞 I got rid of what I had 2 summers ago (before I started making junk journals. I really enjoyed your Studio Tour. Maybe someday when I'm finished re-doing my studio I will be brave enough to do a tour?!?! I think I will have to check out this challenge and view the other studios.

Thanks for all your thoughts Joan! Finally getting this studio organized was such a big deal for me - it just took forever to figure out how to organize trash. My husband said it’s like trying to organize the dump, haha. After more than a year, it still works very well. But I’ve added things, naturally, and honestly need to sort that larger file cabinet to make room and get stuff put away again. We found it at a thrift store and I was so thrilled, because it is an old fashioned, sturdy one. Such a blessing. Thanks for watching and I’d love to see your tour. Please let me know.

OMG I LOVE your room, you've made such great use of your small space. I got a ton of ideas from seeing this. My number 1 thing for me is to rework my filing cabinet. I've wondered where to store my usable papers, that right now are in boxes. Since I have 2 etsy stores, 1 is a book store and the other is a JJ supply store (also where I sell my journals) most of my supplies are in my garage in boxes. I am also gathering ideas for when I move next, and having dresser type things and book cases seem like something I want to have. Thank you so much for the tour it really was very inspirational for me!! Hugs * L

@@NotTooShabbyPatti Thank you very much Patti - I agree that sometimes having fewer choices is better/easier. I’ve been making junk journals since about 2015, but was a scrapbooker for many years before that, and yes, I am old now, haha and I’m pretty lucky to be able to craft all day, if I want. What are the advantages of having a glass matt?
@BeAgainBooks2 жыл бұрын
Great question Andrea! I used to have the Ranger silicone mat and liked using that, but I had to tape it down and it wore out quickly…maybe I’m just hard on it, haha. Also, things from around the desk would easily migrate onto the mat and I was constantly pushing them away from the wet stuff. I still have the other mat around and use it occasionally, but I really like having the glass mat because it stays put and it cleans up so easily. Also it sits up just a bit from the desk surface and so other papers don’t get pushed onto it as easily, so the work space stays a little more clear of other desk papers just sitting around. I thought I would like the printed measurements, but I find that I don’t use the measurements. I do use the lines, in general ways, but I find it easier to just use a ruler to measure. I just really like how well the glass cleans up with all the mixed media stuff I like to use. It makes it really handy to “smoosh” ink and paint, which I do all the time and then a quick swipe with a baby wipe clears the space again. Those are my thoughts, hope that helps - I think it’s worth the money, if you have the room on your desk.
@louisetripoli68318 ай бұрын
I have never enjoyed a craft room tour as much. I am terrible at organizing because I have trouble categorizing. I also don't have a real room to use, just a small area of my living room. Hopefully when I move to a place with an extra room it will get better. I thought I had way too much stuff! But no where near as much as you. So if you can do it, I'm sure I can if I push myself.
