Yours actually seem to have paper in them. I like watching people make them and they look great but I wondered the same exact thing. Most the ones I’ve seen have almost no line paper or clear spots in them at all so I wondered where do they write at lol? That’s literally how I got here. To find out… but yours have a lot of paper so that makes sense to me.

@@SeerSeekingTruth Yes, I make artistic writing journals, haha. The junk journal maker community is really broad and encompasses the folks who make them solely as art, those who make them solely as recycled art, those who make them to use as art journals and those who make them with some other use in their mind. All of them are, as you say, just fun. I admit to being just a little more practical, I guess, haha. Thanks for watching and for reaching out.

I was following along u til you came to the last hole but you confused it by turning your journal around and the fact of turning on the back to get needle through was so confusing sorry but I got screwed up and ended up having to pull it all out and start again making my ho,es in the paper bigger I totally get your trying to help but I ended up stopping for the day and will try again tomorrow

Happy 65th birthday to you whenever it is!! Age is a matter of the mind; if you don’t mind, it doesn’t matter! Forget what the govt labels you to be. Besides getting old is a privilege that not all get. Thank you for sharing this beautiful journal amd I may think of making one for a special year. Enjoy your 65th year. And thank you for the inspiration and clear way of how to document this time capsule journal. I have been saving a book entitled 'Born in 1925' which l am going to alter to add items reflecting my mother's life as she was born in 1925 and would have been 100 in July 2025. I have a lot of her papers (both scrapbooking and household) which l can use for the signatures.

After caring for my husband with aggressive cancer this past year and successfully reaching Remissiion, I start my daily journal with thanking God for anotther day of life to share with the man I have loved for 51 years! ❤

@@nancysale188 Hello Nancy. Thanks for reaching out. Yes, the first layer was a strip of an old Tyvek mailing envelope. It is a thin material, but very strong and it helps reinforce the spine and the fabric just finishes it off nicely (also reinforcing the spine). I’ve been thinking about a similar project. I just turned 60 and am single with no children but my life has been full of many and varied challenges and accomplishments. I was thinking of calling it “Bits and Pieces of Me”. Not sure who would want it. I’ve been deconstructing my old scrapbooks which seem big and clunky to me now. The idea of preserving these moments in such a creative way appeals to me. In the end it really doesn’t matter, does it? If it makes me happy, reflecting on such milestones and creating a product that makes me happy, that is all that matters. If it ends up in a landfill many years from now, it is still worth it. After all, it is just paper, right? So we deserve how and what makes us happy while we can. Thank you for sharing your talent. I think I may refer back this video when I start making my journal. 😊

If you print on matte photo paper it won’t react with any wet mediums. Love this idea for journaling the highlights/lowlights of a year.
