Tarodev

Күн бұрын

Today I recreated a hyper-casual mobile game I saw my son playing: Gun Sprint. Something called to me when I saw the fun mechanic and I felt compelled to recreate it, in Unity of course.
It involved a bit of fun problem solving using a few different Unity techniques, so hopefully you can learn something. If not, just have fun watching :)
Script: bit.ly/3uLM3eA
Game: tarodev.itch.io/gun-sprint
Games seen at the start of this video:
Tippy Toe 3D, People Wheel, Heroes Inc, Flex Run 3D, Bridge Race, Hand Head Runner and of course Gun Sprint.

Haha, my daughter, Ada is in the exact same loop. I wasn't sure if it was because she is only two and a half years old, or what was going on exactly. Couldn't resist commenting though, because I've basically felt the same exact way. I saw the gun spring game yesterday and felt exactly the same way.... resisted, but def. considered it. I will say that some of these games impress me and their ability to move past concerns related to visuals/textrues/etc has resulted in some interesting mechanics. With that said, some of them are so relentless with the ads that I personally couldn't handle it... I guess my daughter is more patient than me in that aspect or just more entertained by the endless tangential circus show of going from one to the next via ad.

I've also noticed I'm more sensitive in my aging. I suppose having a family exacerbates that. I was just trying to mimic what the original game had though.
