Creating a Magazine-Fed Barrel Railgun

I made a barrel railgun not too long ago, and now I'm making a version with a magazine. This was definite one of my challenging builds...

Railgun expert here: I’m not going to write a paragraph about issues I’ve already brought to light in detail. However, what I will do is bring to light the biggest issue. Barrels are not a good projectile! 🎉🎉 It’s a nice novelty to do it once, however barrels are just not meant to be thrown. For one thwy deal no damage, and for 2 their collisions are far too weird. They are a perfect example of why blocks can take damage

instead of using the pistons to load the barrels you could instead put the magazine at an angle so that the barrels would just roll in and they wouldnt roll out cause then you could also just use a arm or something to drop the barrels into the mag

Make a swarm of drones that can be remotely controlled, i think it would be cool to see a syncronyzed swarm of individual drones, or on the other end a swarm of drones that move in a genral direction togerther but fly abit choaticly with slight flight divation to emmulat a swarm of bugs, Kinda. Maybe they fly up to a certain altitude and then can be angled during that peirod before flying forward and randomly choosing betwen a combantion of pitching, rolloing and yawing, with very small amounts of degree, like maybe 5° Thay way they seem like a swarm of bugs but still travel along a relatively linear path, becoming more spread apart the farther they travel.

No but I can see why you’d think that, a clip loads ammo into a magazine, a magazine loads ammo into the chamber. Mosin nagant for example has an internal magazine that can loaded more quickly with a clip, but something like an AR-15 has an external magazine that can just be replace with a fresh one when empty. So this would be an internal magazine, he just loads it one at a time rather than with a clip
