Hello Arya, I saw your chat video with Justin awhile back. Longtime Logic user that has migrated over to REAPER just recently and loving the journey. I expand on something new everyday and incorporate it into my workflow. Anyhoo, I just subscribed and find your 4 on the floor speed approach to the nuggets of wisdom you present to us REAPERs out here amongst the mere mortals still stuck in dumb dumb DAW land. Thanks for the no flocking around and getting it on!!

Thank you Chad! Glad you like the pacing of the vids! Also not sure if you saw, but we also had Schwa on the chat and it was a great one :)

@@IDDQDSound I am thrilled that your open invitation to Schwa via Justin's vid was honored. Yes , I will actually be checking it out possibly tonight after a quick beer store run. Man, this entire REAPER family is absolutely fantastic - accessible AND sharing. This alone is worth the price of admission. I just wish I wouldn't have been so narrow minded thinking I was never going beyond Logic and jumped on board years ago. Don't get me wrong; Logic is awesome with the stock sounds and plug-ins to get quick scratch ideas down, but REAPER now allows me to mix to my nerd out desires. ;-)

Why does my reaper (reaper679+dev0508_x64-install.exe) not have any of those mouse modifier actions in either Main or the Midi Editor section ?
@cybclinic Жыл бұрын
I don't have them either. Maybe they have been depreciated .

Is there a way to pay audio in this way to the grid?
@IDDQDSound2 жыл бұрын
Hi! Yes you can do this with stretch markers. I've done a video on that yet but Kenny Gioia has extensive tutorials on the topic

I can stand a little bit of edgy-ness in the design of a given VST if the product works. I get it- differentiation from others and all that. But, like you, I disliked having a non-intuitive way of using them. More than once I've just abandoned using them in favour of something else that works 5x faster in adjustability. I'm not Dieter from Sprockets, I just want to insert a good sound in my project 😁

How about the Cubase drum editor, do you have a video that does something like that? Thanks for all you do with your awesome videos. Here is an example: kzbin.info/www/bejne/b2OWh3VqabKUrqs I'm working on it from the help from watching videos, yours definitely have helped me figure out some of it. Thanks.

I never used Cubase, but yeah bits and pieces of it you can easily recreate. The grid sizes per note is neat. You can't do that in Reaper. But check this video out and it contains most of the rest: kzbin.info/www/bejne/rn7clqaQbrmCgLc

@@IDDQDSound Thanks for the reply, yes the grid sizes per note in the Cubase drum editor is pretty cool, i worked on it in Reaper more today and i think its coming along, thanks for your knowledge and videos, I'll definitely get you a coffee. I'll share it on the stash for anyone interested when I'm done, or perhaps make a video. Cheers.
