For background you can use absorbent microfiber cloth and epithytic moss will grow and spread naturally on it

This is just beautiful. My son and I are really wanting to set up an orchid terrarium because we live in such a dry climate that it’s hard to get orchids to grow without creating an artificial environment of humidity for them.

CENTRAL INDIANA HOOSIER HERE! (About an hour from Indy) 😍 I had NO IDEA you had a YT Channel! Have you ever had a chance to visit Sandy and Ted at Northern Tropics Greenhouse in Muncie??! They are SO SLEPT ON!! Sandy has been growing her business out of her home for YEARS and people from all around come and shop! She grows most of what she has from seed or propagations and then they also have a greenhouse SPECIFICALLY for houseplants, which she orders but also many many of her plants come from propagations and they are TO DIE FOR! I HIGHLY recommend you show them a visit! Ted has a brewery off to the side as well, so you can shop and then have an amazing craft beer, all made by Ted in house! AND ALL THE BEEFS, KRYSTAL!! AAALLL THHEEE BEEEEEFFFFSSSSS!!! 😍😍 Thank you for existing in life and on the internet! You’re truly an inspiration in the world! 💜

I've been making partial terrariums (meaning glass vase types typically found in thrift stores) I use thirstier plants and local moss. I love your box terrarium but am on a budget. I see these also at thrift stores so will pick one up and maybe try a button or maiden hair fern. I adore your videos! Thank you for your hard work. You've taught me alot!

this was such a calm video, love it. I have one small terrarium and I think I need to look into moss and drift wood again, it´s just missing something. mine has a Begonia amphioxus in it that just didn´t do well before but seem really happy now, I just cut it back to propagate because it was about to outgrow the terrarium, I might plant one or two cuttings back in to get it fuller. then I have some other plants to fill it up that I am willing to take out if the begonia needs more space :D

Hello - it would probably be worth looking on some fishing channels or forums to find a good knot for monofilament. You might not be a fisherlady, but those guys will have found a way to tie a knot quickly, that's strong but also neat and tidy. It looked to my eye that you were using a shoelace knot? (Sorry if wrong, only trying to be helpful!) Great video and very relaxing to watch. I had made a terrarium out of a small fish tank....the plants grew nicely but then I got little gnats and gave up and turned it into another fish tank. Put the plants in pots. 😒 Yours looks lovely.
