I created this video a while ago and versions often change slightly. I was not able to paste a link in here but I did put one at the end of my video description (above) that will take you to the Moodle forum. One of the great things about Moodle is that there is a whole community out there and people who use it everyday who post to forums. I think you will find help by checking the forum....best wishes...

Thank Angela: I'm doing some research to see if I want to use Moodle for some online driver education courses that I'm working on. I think Moodle is it. Cheers Rick

Very knowledgeable Presenter, though it was made a decade ago still pertinent to this day. Some are born intellects and I see one here.

Hi Gopal, I haven't been using Moodle recently but will send a link to their community resources. This link is to an English section: moodle.org/course/view.php?id=5 You can also choose to visit a community forum in different languages if you are interested by going here: moodle.org/course/ They can advise you better with more updated knowledge. Best wishes...

Could you now help me by telling me how i can use the same course for different groups? For instance, if i have to elementary classes that have classes at different periods, how can i use the same material given that the courses have fifferent dates. thanks

Patrick Fohneng Hi Patrick...I think you can do this if you create a new course and rename it, then import to copy materials to a new Moodle course site. Here is a link that might help to another youtube video. Copying materials to a new Moodle course site I also recommend that you look at the support offered in the online Moodle community...it's here that you will find others actively using Moodle, happy to share tips. moodle.org/ best wishes Angela

+acdowdful Patrick I don´t recommend Moodle for academic research at all. I do recommend it if people want to write online diaries or advance their social english skills, but absolutely not for creating courses, submitting essays or other such purposes because of the experiences I have had with submitting essays via Moodle. Moodle works like this ´one mistake, it´s over´- very few modern editing features. So Moodle should be for writing plays, novels, short stories, tourism guidelines, etc. but not to submit academic paperwork of any kind. That´ll turn the home into a battlefield, the classroom into a battlefield and won´t be of benefit to either student or teacher attempting to use Moodle for such research.

+acdowdful My experiences with moodle have taught me one thing and one thing only - I should never use it to share essays unless a teacher asks me to until moodle updates so they´ll have a warning label making sure it´ll no longer be used in academic research.

Never use moodle or other such software which limits essay editing features for academic research. Always warn students in advance from using such software. Always warn students that moodle must never be used for academic research such as for sharing essays or for exams. Moodle should have a label which reads; DO NOT USE IN ACADEMIC RESEARCH.
