I am thinking about doing a whole series of cuttings once I style this ficus. Maybe make a ficus forest?
@BlueJayBonsai2 жыл бұрын
Wow, what a big cutting! I think your raft has a great future, it’s off to a great start! I’ve seen Alan @ Tropical Bonsai crack a few ficus branches and they always recover. THANK YOU for the shoutout in the intermission Jelle! 🙏You are a great bonsai friend. Soon we will be celebrating your 1k too I hope! Keep up the great work. 🐦💙

Hi! Your every video is very informative. I have watched nearly all videos of yours on bonsai. I'm from India, a school principal and 64 years of age. Lately I developed serious interest in Bonsai specially Ficus, Juniper and Pine Species. Hope your videos will help a lot to me.

Nice video. I really enjoyed the viewing experience! I've never grown a ficus myself. Do you think it will recover from the snap or is it a long shot?

Hi Tony, I jave good hope ot will recover. But if not, it is a great lesson learned to pay better attention when working! I dud feel a bit stupid when that happenend!!!

Hey Jelle, I’ve found a KZbin channel dealing with rafts, forests n fusions. The name Kennet De Bondt sounded promising n yes he has a lovely accent like you!

@@GrowingBonsai I like the idea of recycling ♻️ the substrate I tend to put mine into the garden but I may start washing it and putting it back in to my big container which contains my bonsai substrate.. Because it can become a very expensive hobby ..

@@natrjack965 I do not wash it. I have a few big containers that get filled over winter/spring. In summer I dry it in the sun for a few days, sift and store for next year
