Judy, my heart goes out to you and your grief takes on many levels, and then rob you inspiration in areas. We never expected to let me know if there’s anything I can do I knew art in the past has healed me in ways. I never understood could I’ve had many losses in my life, many unexpected turns in my life and I understand pain I hope and pray, for you is situational to find peace and true happiness, and I hope that you were inspired to create art. Sometimes I use my pain to create some of my best pieces that doesn’t always happen for people, but it has help heal in a way that I never understood and tires on the other side.

Thank you so much for leaving a comment just remember to use some transparent and opaque‘s, and paints and thick paints. I have found the key to what I do in my abstracts is the differences so if you have a lot of thick lines, add some thin lines if you have a lot of straight lines, add some curves, add the differences.

Hi Cheryl, I just found your channel. Thank you for explaining this process of abstract. I have watched a gazillion abstract artist and yours is the first that makes sense to me. I thought maybe because I'm old I just couldn't get it. I have painted for years but mainly realistic art but have always loved abstract. That really thrills me that you were getting something from the video and able to make a difference. I always learned when I first started to paint that the differences make a big difference, thin line stick, lines, large ships, small shapes Street, declines, curvy lines, the differences critical.

Love your work! Thank you for sharing 😊 Wondering…What type of paper do you use? My mixed-media/watercolor paper always warps 😢

A lot of the watercolor paper and mixed media paper when you add water they will slightly bow, but I just put them between like two pieces of like wax paper and put heavy books on them and they stay flat. I never have a problem after that in my Amazon store under I think it’s paper. There is a link to a lot of the papers that I pick to use Canon watercolor paper. I use a lot Strathmore I use a lot since I don’t use them as watercolor paper for watercolors I feel I can get away with different types of papers and periodically I’ll try new ones so I don’t stick to the same ones as it for the ones I use but canon and Strathmore are a lot of my go to. Sorry it took me so long to respond. I got that nasty sinus virus that has been going around and I’ve actually been in bed for seven days which I never ever do even after surgeries. This has been a whopper of a recovery for me but thank you for watching my channel and asking question appreciate it.
