"The Unspoken Bond"
Some things are better left unsaid. A comfortable silence whispered over the unspoken promise exchanged when your eyes first met. Together you share a grueling conviction. He rewards your dedication with a persistent plea for your companionship. If only he knew the feeling was mutual. On that dark, crisp morning you embark to fulfill his inherent purpose. Four earnest eyes scan the horizon with a concealed intensity when that Lone Duck interrupts the desolate sky. The crack of your gun unleashes a frantic hunger to retrieve his fallen prize. He returns, fully saturated and satisfied, with the fragrance of gunpowder generously lingering. Together you celebrate a promise kept.
Your binding faith is one that most can’t comprehend. They neglect the depth of the instinctive understanding you have for each other. Like the exuberant validation you shared in the field with that first Lone Duck. It’s feelings like this that remind you they’re reserved for a select few. There’s no need to fill them with empty words. Some things are better left unsaid.

Great information. I like the methods and attitude of the session. I primarily train pointing dogs, but there is a lot of good stuff to carry over to general dog training.

Could you do a full series on a dog from the beginning to when it’s ready so we can see the whole process?

Hey man, do you “play” with the dogs after the training sessions or do you use these sessions as “play” time? I just got a chocolate lab we’ve had her for about a month and she is 4 months old now so asking on her behalf! She does great during training but still has a lot of energy after so that’s why I was wondering

hey thanks for asking. 4 months old is still a baby so this is kinda different. At that age, everything should be fun and exciting for the dog. In general, the retrieving should be fun and rewarding for the dog but every dog is different. Some dogs need more fun bumpers and excitement and maybe a tennis ball before to hype them up and others don't. Once you learn what your dog needs, you'll be good. As for the "lots of energy" part, retrieving and burning energy to tire them out should be different things. You'd want to finish the retrieving/training lesson with them wanting more, not being exhausted and tired of it... that's how you build drive, confidence and excitement. sorry for the longwinded answer, it's tough to fully explain all sorts of things via youtube comment. check out our patreon.com/loneduckoutfitters and we can help more!

Just did some deep dive into my pups parents and grandparents and there is a lot of pointing labs. The father is 4xGMPR. Would you recommend not focusing so much on the pointing with my plans to hunt test her?
