I see we use the same plugins, fab filter, Valhalla, top notch. Uses petite cpu, gives supreme sound quality ☺️👌

Fire, if you can maintain this exact quality at least once a week your channel will blow
@GameAudioLearning3 жыл бұрын
I wish... unfortunately it takes a lot more time than a week to make these and next to a full-time job that time isn't as easily available as I would like but the more the channel grows the more time I can hopefully invest into making the vids!

Dear Game Audio Analysis (sorry I didn't catch your name:/), do you think Reaper would be a better option for game design than Logic pro ? I plan to spend some money on a laptop and I seriously have some troubles in thinking whether should I go for Macbook or Windows. (I really don't know how much PC specs would I need for sound design/composition). Also, are most of the plugins you use free for Reaper? Or mostly you are using paid ones. I would really appreciate it if you answer my questions! Thank you so much!
@GameAudioLearning3 жыл бұрын
Hey Darko, I'm Greg :) Reaper is definitely better for game audio in the long run, I'd recommend picking it up if you can. Mac vs Windows is always a controversial issue, I would recommend going windows as I've yet to encounter a studio that uses all macs and you'll have an easier time if you know it. I use a lot of free as well as paid plugins but I've written a resource list that will come sometime in the next two weeks so the best thing to do is follow me on twitter @itsgreglester and keep an eye out for that. The guide will hopefully answer most of your questions regarding gear :) and like I said that'll be out in the next two weeks so thank you for your patience in advance!

Any chance we could get a video about the plugins you use to transform natural sounds into the more surreal and melodic sounds? You showed quite a bit on screen, but I'm curious what your go-tos are for shaping an organic sound into something completely new.

I'll make a little list but I think a lot of it has to do with modulating different parameters. So just play around with modulating stuff like the decay of a reverb with an LFO or an envelope and then see what kind of cool sounds you get then resample those again through other stuff. Resampling is really the way to get things to sound new and unique from the original source. - Valhalla FreqEcho - Valhalla Supermassive - Valhalla Shimmer - Portal by Output - Soundtoys Effect Rack (anything in there is awesome) - various tremolo plugins - Pro Q2

Which daw do you use?
@GameAudioLearning3 жыл бұрын
Reaper :)
@paulisawesome103 жыл бұрын
When you press record and mess with all of your plugins, do you just resample through your daw, or do you use a plugin like Edison?, in Ableton it's so annoying cuz it starts creating automation for every parimeter you touch
@GameAudioLearning3 жыл бұрын
I resample through my daw by routing one track into another track and recording the output but you can use Edison or any other type of recording plugin to record the output, that shouldn't make a difference as the signal flow is the same
