Something I wish developers did, which I've only seen Infinite Ward KIND OF do on their website for the MW reboot, is add sound tests in the menu with the aim to get the optimal volume without killing our ears and to maintain an immersive experience. So, play the loudest sound in the game with the message "using a db meter, turn the volume up until this sound reaches 75db." Or something like that.

Wow great video and cool that you picked up on so many details! We are a few more on the team actually, with Olof as technical sound designer, Simon as technical audio wizard/programmer, Ludvig as voice over designer, Markus as audio programmer, and more recently Nils as Audio intern :) Me and Andreas can’t have all the credit haha! Super fun to watch your video, keep up the good work!

Thanks a bunch for watching Carl, you and the team did absolutely incredible work!! Appreciate you shouting out the rest of your team as well :) The Mobygames credits weren't organised per discipline so it was tricky finding out exactly who all worked on it so thanks for clearing that up!
@Beakhole18 күн бұрын
Hi @carlstrandberg8217! You guys did a great job on this game! I have a question for you, though-have you or the rest of the audio team heard any feedback about the lack of critical sounds at important moments, such as footstep audio or the buzzing sound of a Light's Cload/Vanishing Bomb, just not playing on a regular basis? That's been my experience since the release of the game but it got far worse at the start of June with the release of Season 3.

@@GameAudioLearning Hey, great video Greg! I'm Ed - just popped by to mention my credit. Most of my time at Embark I work on a different project, and only did a few small bits on The Finals around Season 3. I'm so chuffed for the credit from Embark, but my contribution so far is really minimal compared to the rest of the team!

I hope it will be taken as some constructive criticism. 1) Just a Discord server is ok. 2) The name Airwiggles is good for someone who's already heard what it is, but it doesn't ring a bell that it's for sound folks, neither it helps the people who wanna hire them.
