Awe man this looks amazing! Maybe next year, once I’ve gained my diploma and have my eighteenth birthday, I could come and visit from England. I’ve been doing watercolour studies for the last few years, but I’d love to expand my subjects and experiences. Looks so cool man, I wish you all the best with starting this venture and maybe I’ll look it up again in the not-too-distant future!

I'm going to apply even thought I'm afraid my art may be considered a bit "low brow" for what this channel usually covers. I'm a tattoo artist in training. I focus mostly on abstract portraits of well known figures. Hope you see this!

The idea of spending a couple of weeks dedicating myself completely to creating artwork gave me a small - but strong - thrill in my stomach. I've heard of artist retreats, residencies, patronships, etc. but have never allowed the thought of ME being a part of anything like that to enter my mind. What you're doing here is just amazing. If I ever have the means to be a part of this project, I would be honored. I'm excited to see what comes of this, to discover artists through your videos and watch this unfold. By the way, you've found the perfect location for this; to foster artist's creativity. It's exciting to see what can come of such a place; an artists' haven. I'm truly thankful for every person who will benefit from this, whether it be from being able to open up and just create or to watch others experience that and then see the product of their time spent there. I could go on and on about this. You're truly doing great things and I am heartened to see your passion and love for art and art history.

There was one residency I wanted to do that was $2k for two to four weeks. A shame because the last week would be spent in New Orleans.

Two weeks is not enough time for a serious artist to set up a studio space and to create art of any substance. Most artists have special tools that may not easily transportable. Add to that a reliable source for supplies that are specific to their creative activities. Also, many artists are not open to being the subject of a film that they have no creative control over.

It can be anything! Though I will not necessarily be equipped for stuff like pottery and ceramics, but having a variety of artists working with different mediums could definitely add to the experience!

Man, I would LOVE to go to a place like this and create art!! As an animator, it feels a bit difficult to create an exhibition outta it, aside from zoetropes and the like. While I love my digital paintings, I really want to get into oil painting and really create gorgeous physical artwork. Animation on paper, though absolutely lovely, can't necessarily be seen in all it's glory through flipping it's pages. But.. a phenakistoscope is perfect, animation live, physically there (just seen through slits and a mirror). Maybe one day I can be worthy of having my art displayed or something. Lotta work to be done
