Dear Drew, Genius idea for the lamp shade skirt. I collect remnant textiles, great use for the lamp shade. My favorite DIY though was the tissue box cover. That book sconce is absolutely stunning!!! I am renovating my kitchen and giving the rest of my house a refresh so I decided to get vintage cookbooks for either end of my open shelving over my peninsula and I have some vintage books that were my grandmother’s that I will use on each end of the top shelves (4 total) in my built ins next to my fireplace!!! Such cool and unique lighting !!! I also got 2 of your fox prints with Desenio to flank the fox print my parents bought us for our wedding 28 years ago in my picture frame molding accent wall! It will make me happy to look at the final results and see my Lone Fox inspired art and DIYs! Your channel (and Makenna’s) got me through when I lost my parents last year and the book sconces being made with vintage books that my daddy and I enjoyed while I was growing up will make them all the more special to me!! Thank you for such amazing inspiration!

I have a suggestion though, maybe a piece of elastic across the bottom will make the cover more secure. Love all your videos.

All are great, but adore the 2 lamps. Also, just a hint Drew. When painting mirror frames, paint the rabbet too, so you don't get a reflection of the raw wood around the edge of the mirror. Doesn't have to be the frame colour - black works great and gives more of a shadow effect. Also keep your glue back from the edge, as it can be reflected too.

A couple decades ago I did the lampshade cover except I simply put some elastic in the top sleeve. I love the mirror. The sconce is interesting, but I don't think I'd use it. I do like that it's moveable. You come up with some really great projects and your enthusiasm is fun to watch.

I love the red color so much and think it looks fabulous where you hung it. I’ve been loving the bookcase lights, too, and I certainly never thought about using a book for the body of the light. Love the fabric of the vintage quilt. If you want to make it sit better, turn it inside out again, and press your seams open with an iron. (That is, each side of the seam is folded back over its own fabric). The sconce is cute. I think I might need some in my home. 😉
