The new filter looked like it was cranked too high with too much bloom initially but now as of episode 80 I've grown fond of it.

Yeah, I use a variety of different Adobe products for my videos. Audio is done in Audition, graphics in Photoshop, intro sequences in After Effects, and the videos are edited in Premiere.

How difficult do you think it would be for somebody to create a brush for Photoshop (or any other art program) that emulates the new, bolder line art that Toei's doing for DBS? I can kind of mimic the style with the paint brush tool in Adobe Flash, but with less desirable results.

imo they should have had a one year head start before they started working on it so they can release quality instead of working fast on a tight schedule and hiring the god tier animators for only special scenes

I definitely feel like the filters are in direct response to the criticism of DBS's animation and were just the easiest thing they could do to appeal to fans. Kudos to them though because it is working, way less people complaining so far.

I love the new filter they are using. I tend to hate the digital coloring as it's too bright for my taste, but now it feels way better. Even when stuff still ends up off-model a lot.

I used to do this with paint shop pro 9 when I was enhancing the hundreds of dbz screen shots I had. Before the remastered and bluray dvds came out. The glow was definitely what I went for too. Nice work

Yeah, I noticed that the tournament of power arc had thicker lines, but does that really look better? I think that makes the character even flatter, like when you add black outlines to comic characters to make them pop out but at the same time make them look more cartoony

They've added a layer of grain, huh? I remember noticing the same thing on the Resurrection "F" Movie Blu-ray, and always wondered why they applied it. Either way, judging from this video, I like the result.

You could easily make a Photoshop action for this. I've been doing it slightly different but the looks is the same pretty much.

Impossible. Just how you can't increase resolution after decreasing it. You lose information in the process.
