Once again, Articulate has taken what Adobe Captivate did with a concept - 360 degree images - and took it way beyond the next level. They've resolved all my prior complaints from Adobe's 360 degree image features. Bravo Articulate!

Are you able to add a 3D transition effect (blurry zoom to simulate movement) when transitioning to another 360 image?
@cbtcafe3 жыл бұрын
Great question, Benjamin. You sure can. You can apply entrance/exit animations and even motion paths. If you place the 360° images on slide layers, you can apply a slide transition to each layer to fade in each image. It really works like any other image as far as animations and transitions are concerned.

Such a great tutorial - gonna give it a go! Sorry if this is a stupid question but did you just use an iPhone to take the photo? Any tips for that? Thanks so much!
@cbtcafe2 жыл бұрын
Hi Caity - Some phones, such as the Pixel, have a built-in feature that allows you to capture your own 360° images. But not all phones have this feature. For example, an iPhone camera with panoramic mode enabled captures 240° cylindrical panoramas. And although you can still add 240° images into Storyline 360, they won’t render correctly. Example: articulate-us.s3.amazonaws.com/support-share/YTshare/tbraddick/360+Images+iOS+Pano/story.html Here are four of the most common 360° cameras course designers are using: community.articulate.com/articles/360-images#360-cameras

So I am assuming to create a tour I just add a layer with 360 image? i.e. a real estate tour... go from room to room.
@MegaLance723 жыл бұрын
yeh, Lance you sure can. Just put each 360 image (scene) on a new layer (all 360 images on layers) trigger the first layer to show. - trigger the hot spot to show the layer. You can even make a menu on the base layer as a quick shortcut to the different scenes (layers)

Great demo - Could this functionality be used in an arc shot? Meaning the camera is moving around the subject (instead of viewing the surroundings from the subjects point of view).

Nice little tutorial. Can a trigger be set to jump to a new slide or layer when all of the triggers have been clicked?
@cbtcafe3 жыл бұрын
Yes that's possible a bunch of ways. Using the Guide Tour option, you can add a trigger to the last marker to jump to next slide. You can also use variables to enable the next button after all markers have been clicked. I'm recording a video tutorial right now on 7-8 ways you can enable the next button after all markers have been visited.

Since someone brought up Adobe Captivate, I thought I would ask the following question here: Does Adobe handle branching scenarios better than Storyline. or at least allow manual override of slide numbers ? I have used various versions of Storyline for several years, and 90% of the E-learning classes I make have branching in the form of Main Menu slides and sub menu slides (i.e. click buttons to go non-linearly through the course). Storyline's auto numbering of slides has messed up every one I have ever made (even with using the trick of vertical location on the timeline). To make the courses work I must "hardwire" every slide jump because with messed up numbers you cant use the forward, previous options as they use the slide numbers. If Adobe handles this better I will switch when my subscription is up.
