Creating Interactive Banner in Schoology

Thank you for the tips! How did you get the gif effect on your first banner with the teachers with the coffee?

This is how I insert my banner in Schoology, but I see so many tutorials using Google Drawings and Google Slides. Is there a reason one of those methods is used over this one?
