Also, what are the orange pieces? Plastic? I like the small round ones you seem to use a lot. How would I be able to get some of those? Thank you for always being inspirational!

All the coloured pieces in this mosaic are glass. Some of them I made by heating and shaping the glass. If you are after small round ones, search for glass rods or stringers. I make my own by heating up glass and pulling it into strands.

Where do you get your black thinset?

I buy regular tile adhesive/thinset from my local tile store and add a black pigment to it. Usually thinset only comes in white or grey.
