Creating Scenery for MSFS: Making a Parallax Window

Today we make a plane with a parallax effect using the Asobo Exporter's Parallax Window parameter.

Thank you for this tutorial! I made SBRP for MSFS, and I always wanted do implement parallax windows in the main passenger terminal. I made a test today, and it worked! I think I will visit the real airport to photograph the windows, standing at the right places, so the perspective will match... if you know what I mean.

Much thanks you for this tutorial! I have some questions (starts at 13:00). Why it is important to change the emissive colour not the base color in the parallax renderer? To lit it up at night? There are additional options in the material parameter section which are not shown in my Blender MSFS Toolkit. Where do you get them? I want to add the parallax renderer to my base window texture. But there are two windows for for one room. Do i need an extra "special" texture for parallax rendering to match the parallax scaling settings in Blender? It doesn´t wok for me yet but i think you have a good idea to help. Thanks in advance for your help!

Thanks for sharing with us. I really appreciate it. Your image is static ,mine rotates when moving the camera around the window, any idea why it is doing that?

A few questions on this one as I'm finally now tackling it: - Do you have to have a front glass color? Or could you just do the parallax on its own? - Does size matter here concerning either the material or the texture (I assume texture at least needs to be divisible by 4 or 8 as per all regular ones), but is there a trick here? Can I have a rectangle texture with a rectangle window? Do their aspects need to match, etc.? Thank you! 🙏

You need to have front glass but just make it's alpha 0. Texture can be rectangular as long as each side is divisible by 4. To get aspect close, I usually determine planes ratio and apply that ratio toy texture size...however might need to fudge a bit toake sure size is divisible by 4....kind of rounding.
