Coming from someone who has never owned skis, and whose only childhood "sled" was a large piece of cardboard, I think the bird is on a sled. Judging from pictures I've seen, I don't think the front of a ski would be curved back that much. Yes, I did say my sled was cardboard. Growing up mostly here in East Texas, there was never really much opportunity for sledding. So, one year that it did snow sufficiently for sledding, my brother & I used a large sheet of cardboard that we'd cut from a box to "sled" down a hill in the front yard to our driveway. May I just say--cardboard does not make a very effective sled! LOL Anyway, I love the card design & your coloring, Kelly. I don't do Copics, but I could watch you color (even with Copics) for hours. And listen to your commentary, of course. LOL Thank you so much for sharing your art! :)

Fun technique. I finally tried the flicking with Perfect Pearls and I love it! I can pull off any technique, but just have no clue about composition. Got any suggestions. Do you research sources or just “ come up “with a concept? Thanks as always

When it comes to scenes I usually just see it in my head. Cards where I have to use design composition for multiple elements I usually mess around with the pieces parts until I'm happy. Though, looking at old cards I've created or pinterest can be helpful too!

Toboggan, perhaps? Your hands are pretty enough to be a hand model, but I’m glad you’re not. They can’t do anything, especially paint! I love this bird.
