That is an amazing painting. It is incredible how you really paint the corn with the different vibrant colors. It looks so unique. It is wonderful that you bring up the story of Joseph and his interpretation of Pharaoh's dream_ seven abundant years followed by seven lean years. Water mixable oil is new to me. Good evening, Dina. I loved hearing your Bible story, and it was fun watching you do this painting. But I must tell you, I really love the original painting of the corn much more. The one without the texture. I still have not tried this technique, but it is on my list of things to do. So many things to do so little time. LOL. I think I really love this same technique that you did on the fish painting. I used to raise fish, and I really like that one. Best always dear, see you next time. 🤗

Thank you so much! I hear you about the texture vs no texture- on certain paintings I agree they look great as a smooth painting, especially those with nuanced colors or details. That is the tradeoff with this technique- the pros are you get super tactile, raised texture which catches the light and has a mosaic effect, the cons are most details are lost in the daubs.
