The best program is the one you can most effective coach! The atheles I work with need the fundamentals! Over and over. Part of that aspect of being able to communicate the programming is using the 3-Rs (research, relate & reframe). Appreciate your point about what's available as far as resources and spacing, in the HS I coach, we don't have belt squat, GHRs, safely squat Bars, trap bars and so on... So it's my job to adapt! The best program for my kids looks nothing like what top, well known schools are have their kids do and that's okay. Excellent stuff. Truth and I bet most won't be satisfied with it but hey. 👊🙌

Ah, the illusive "perfect program." Perfect programs and exercises are simply marketing! The real answer is the one that nobody wants to hear. The problem being is how do we define good coaching? Or, how do the people managing the coaches define it? The answers to these question can be scary. Love this video!

Mike Shukis Thanks Mike! Agreed. The literature goes many different directions in regards to what constitutes truly effective coaching. I’ll be sounding off on this during the Art of Coaching Apprenticeship November 2nd and 3rd. Looking forward to the ensuing discussion and hope to see you at an Apprenticeship in the future. Hope you has a great weekend.
