The Witcher 3 should have won the Best Soundtrack award at TGA. They gave it to MGSV just out of nostalgia from the 80's and 90's tracks they bought license to use in the game, but what work did they actually had to put together that soundtrack? Not to mention they weren't even in the actual game, you had to listen to their cassettes buried on a menu. Anyways, The Witcher 3 original soundtrack is far better in my opinion. ''Percival - Silver is for Monsters'' is my favorite.

@@vaisakhchandranb241 I think that'll be a problem with almost all companies...maybe part of the reason why CDPR is so good is that it pushes its developers to give in as much dedication they can. No, I'm saying work to the point of a breakdown, which of course is bad. And that hard work is the reason why their games are so fucking amazing. I also think that part of the reason is for putting some pressure is that people have such sky-high expectations from them and just ONE single mistake is enough to ruin their reputation. Goes for all companies, btw. Its just that CDPR has been dragged into the spotlight more and more often because of the huge sky-high hit that is called 'Witcher 3' in the common tongue, and media and companies are just bracing and standing and waiting to pounce at them at even the littlest news...

@Grybhaal_Daublebach8 жыл бұрын
No Man's Sky isn't THAT bad. Sure, it was toted as being more than it is, but that's more the media's fault. Hell even Sean Murray said it wasn't a good game in an interview before the game launched. I think too many people bought their tickets to the hype train before they knew where it was going.
@ask_carbon8 жыл бұрын
No man's sky is all about the false speculation created by the devs and the community filling the gaps,but it falls to the devs to intervene and correct the community without making false assertions. Consider EA's battlefront they did clarify early on that they didn't include a single-player campaign and still that game got a lot of heat,unlike sean murray who advised players "not to spoil themselves by watching live streams" just to hide what they hid from the community for years on to create a false hype and that 60$ price tag is absolutely criminal considering the repetitive content they offer. If you have a small,inexperienced dev team you have no excuse to mislead, false advertise.(I have a i5 6600k and a 1070 and this game shutters like hell )

I mean dont get me wrong there are a lot of great classics like doom, half-life, mafia 1, morrowing, max payne etc, etc, but nothing has this amount of details, well POLISHed game engine with fucking mindblowing graphics, huge world HONESTY OPEN world, great characters\music\combat, hiddent stuff, dialogues and all of it combined in one game. No other game to date has that. And also guess what, HAS NO FUCKING DENUVO or other stupid piracy protection and they still made shitton of money even though im sure millions have pirated the game. If your game is shit no denuvo will save you, but if you make a truly great game you dont need piracy protection.

The more I learn about these guys, the more amazing it is to me that they're completely independent. If these people can pull this shit off, there's no excuse for other indie devs trying to serve you hot sick on a plate and still expect to be paid.
@Thughtbhgg8 жыл бұрын
First of all, Cd Projekt red, while independent, still have a shit ton of money and funding, as well as a massive amount of employees. this is a AAA title, no matter what you say otherwise. and "shitty indie games" is something that ignorant fools like yourself use, with the main examples being no mans sky and steam green light. Most indie games consist of devs in the single figures working their hearts out to produce a game. The hot sick on a plate games are scammers cobbling together unity assets and selling it as a game. Do your fucking research.
@Grybhaal_Daublebach8 жыл бұрын
basil Sharkey Calm down there, Little Bill. Of course CDPR has a ton of money, and no, I don't expect all indie devs to produce AAA games like this. My point is that most indie devs these days are literally making shit and trying to sell it. Now, there's plenty of them doing proper work i.e. Compulsion Games, Heart Machine, the Molasses Flood, and plenty other. But when you've got engines like CryEngine, Unreal 4, or even fucking Unity there's absolutely no excuse for making a pixelated mess. There a huge difference between artistic expression/art style and laziness and these days it seems to be the latter. Not to mention you can tell when a game is a labor of love or a bastard child.
@Grybhaal_Daublebach8 жыл бұрын
basil Sharkey And No Man's Sky is far more of a quality title than literally 90% of indie games on the market right now, so you may as well throw that example out the window.
@Thughtbhgg8 жыл бұрын
Ah, No Man's Sky. I have not personally played this game, so i cannot judge on the quality, only on the gameplay videos and reviews i have read/watched. The main problem people have with No Mans Sky is the content they were promised or that was hinted at, and then either cut out or only partially included, eg. multiplayer, different classes and play-styles, massive space battles, story, etc. this is unacceptable. and yes, other games have done this, like Bioshock Infinite and Mass Effect among many, but No Mans Sky has been slammed because it WAS a sub-par game for most players. PLUS, you can hardly count it as an indie game since they had a massive budget as well as funding from Sony. Also, have you even looked at any of the Indie games on the market right now? No Mans Sky doesn't hold a candle to most of these, (Furi, Inside, Abzu and Kentucky Route Zero ep.4 are the most recent i can think of). Not only that, but as i stated in my first comment, The hot sick on a plate games are scammers cobbling together unity assets and selling it as a game. They are the scammers you are talking about. "pixelated messes" are pixelated because THAT IS THE ART STYLE, not because the dev decided to push out the game early in exchange for graphical quality and so they could grab your money and run. as well as that, many indie games are not pixelated, (see above), and take years of development. Yes, Hello Games is a small studio of around 15, but that doesn't justify the lies that Sean Murray fed us, and the boring and repetitive gameplay. Anyways, that's just my two cents.
@Grybhaal_Daublebach8 жыл бұрын
basil Sharkey I agree with you for the most part, but these days it seems that 8 and 16-bit graphics are on the rise in indie games because relative to working in 3D with UDK or Unity it's much easier. But there's a point when there's devs using these styles to accomplish as little as possible with the insane amount of resources available. I'm going to use Hyper Light Drifter as an example. I don't know if you've played it, but for its 16-bit art style it has an impeccable amount of detail in the environments whereas others are just bland; like they didn't try very hard. As for scammers stealing Unity assets, I don't worry about that too much cause I play on console so there's not as much of that going on, but more low quality independent games than quality ones.

Kongolox They should just continue on with Cyberpunk 2077 if it becomes an actual success as the Witcher series must come to a close sooner or later and that time is sadly now. Just be optimistic that there will be another interesting game after TW3 and surely will be as amazing as it is.

Guys, CDPR will not make Witcher 4, they told that when they finished Blood an Wine, they want to make three very good games and end this, because if you see another thing in the same universum it is starting to be boring, like assassins creed :p sorry for my eng :*,

Built my first PC in February 2015 and got this game for FREE with the purchase of my GTX 970, as a free download from GOG..... Little did I know what I was getting.... I let it sit for 7 years before trying the game.....I seriously want to kick myself. I don't know what took me so long to start playing this masterpiece. I could have saved myself tons of money on additional games I bought over the years because I kept losing interest in the others I had....If I had only played this game from the get go and had it to hold my interest.....I just got to Skellige and can't put this game down.

It does this to me too. You play it and kind of feel like everything compared to it is lackluster. Just such an amazing game - nothing comes close for me

Starting my 3rd playthrough (first 2 on Xbox One, now this time on new PC). I realize once again how awesome this game really is. The music and ambient sounds really do add so much to the game. While other games have done similar things (i.e. Skyrim), what they did in this game really does set the bar extremely high.

The sound track alone and what they did to make it happen -no corners cut- is enough reason for me to trust CD Projekt Red titles. The amount of life they breathed into the Witcher series is amazing, and Wild Hunt was certainly an achievement

I've been playing games since I was 4 years old and I'm now 22. Over those years I've played and completed countless games from many different genres, so you know I don't say this lightly- The Witcher 3 might just be the greatest game I've ever played. Now I can't wait to see what they have in store for us with Cyberpunk 2077, being a fan of the source material much like the Witcher.
