But yeah, in the marvel movies, he had a huge intro, everyone was like, wow he's made completely of vibranium, can phase through solid objects, fly, super reflexes, create energy blasts, has access to pretty much all data instantaneously, has a infinity gem embedded in him enhancing him and can hack almost anything. Probably one of the most powerful and also versatile heroes there is. And then...he's just kinda used as a love interest, and loses in battle to pretty much everyone, takes down his own team-mate by accident paralyzing the guy, and dies shortly after. What a let down, hopefully he does a bit more in the series!

They left him out because Ant-Man in the cinematic universe isn't Dr. Pym. Hank Pym was a genius who made size-changing technology possible by inventing a kind of matter that facilitates the shrinking and enlarging of other matter (the Pym particle, named after him). Dr. Pym completely rewrote physics as it was understood in the Marvel universe. In the movies, Dr. Pym is an old man, and the guy who becomes Ant-Man is just some random thief, not a scientist. I don't approve of that change at all, but it's understandable why Ant-Man would have nothing to do with any of this. It's because they effectively destroyed his character by splitting it in half.

What you have to realize here is that immediately after vision's birth he can feel every mind in the surrounding area because of the powers afforded to him by the mind stone, so it's a tonne of noise. After he sees what's causing all the noise he quickly realizes where he is, what the noise is and then what he is. I imagine he experienced something similar to the overview effect, as hinted at my the tonal shift in the score and his subtle sigh. Such detail and I love it.
