Good work Quanta. A lot of us can’t afford the paid tutorials, so you are very generous and I thank you for that. Peace.

Another great tutorial from Quanta. Why are his tutorials so good? They are always thorough. Here, you get three separate approaches, each very different and each showcases another aspect of Studio One. Perfect.

To further expound on this: 1.) Create tracks( depending on the song, I usually choose 4, 6 or 8 tracks and chose "Pack Folder" Select "Mono" "2.) Copy vocal audio to each track 3.)Open mixer and alternate pan tracks L/R 4.) Open Inspector, select Timestretch>chose "Solo Elastique Pro Monophonic Formant 5.)Based on the # of tracks: in the Inspector set the Delay left-10ms, Right 24ms, Left24ms, Right10ms, Left10ms, Right24ms 6.) Set the Pitch on each track>Set pitch in the "Tune" parameter: L/-3, R/+3, L/+6, R/-6, L/-9, R/+9, L/+12, R/-12 7.) I was taught to use the Command B after executing all of the above 8.) Create/Send these tracks to a FX/Buss named PIT BCK VOX. Upon playback you will have a "Vocal Wall" that adds a thickening effect-either if its a lead vocal or background vocal. I add Antares plugins to my Buss for additional vocal mixing.

@quantamedia When copying and using semitone, the 1st example, isnt it a good idea to stagger them a couple of milliseconds before and after the main vox to create a more realistic sound? Background singers tend to not start exactly at the same time. Great video though. Very in depth.
@quantaaudio Жыл бұрын
Yes, that's a great technique to employ. It's all up to you and whatever you think sounds best.

Because if you don't, the changes you make to one, will affect the others...if I remember correctly.
