If you glide more than a couple of semitones using the same sample, then the sample is going to start sounding false. Good orchestral samples are recorded on at least every tone, or preferably semitone, otherwise they sound artificial when played in the wrong compass. Unless the software running the Seaboard can magically dovetail each slide into multiple crossfaded samples this is not going to sound authentic and indeed when you slid that cello an octave it sounded odd, until you re-triggered the note as a new sample after your gliss.

Good morning, I bought a Roli seaboard 49 four years ago, it has always worked well. Now, after a period of inactivity I have found that the touch faders do not respond to the swipe of the finger, they remain off! How can I solve? Hardware problem? Thanks

Would you use the same setting changes for other instruments beside the Strings you demonstrated? The dimensions of touch are good to know--thanks

What kind of foot pedal are you using? Thanks for the answer. And thanks for that video... it's really amazing what one can do with the seaboard. I'm going to buy this. :)

It's EXS24. It's a synthesiser, not a sampler.
@SaintMesa6 жыл бұрын
Nope, its a sampler not a synth.

Me: I would love to own an instrument like this even though I'm not a musician! Also me, 10 seconds in: I have NO idea what he's talking about

How can you do this with the lightpad block?
@canigetuuhhh5 жыл бұрын
I don't know if it's the right place to ask this question but can I use the Lightpad Block M with Logic and play with samples the way you do with the Seaboard in EXS24 with my Lightpad ?
@ChristianHuygen5 жыл бұрын
You could use the lightpad block to emulate the 3 sliders that he uses to control articulations. To actually play the notes you'd need the seaboard block.

This does NOT work with my Seaboard 25. I checked all the changes a number of times, and when trying to play (switching modes 'on the fly'), by seaboard stays in the previous setting (tremolo, for example). Any ideas?

MPE should be OFF to get the tremolo effect. Its funny how you can misguide us about something like this.
