Lee, after you pinch them with the pond, try laying a few large logs/brush piles at edge of pond perpendicular and funnel them to where you want them so they have to walk around logs. Buddy of mine does this and it works like a charm, he has multiple set ups where the logs guide the deer walking paths, best wishes.

Great idea I did the same thing in my 2 1/2 acre plot in Ohio and it has worked great .another thing we are going to do in our bigger plot in Illinois is put a 8 ft fence across to pinch the deer into 35 40 yards ..

Look forward to seeing how the stand works in the fall. Great job highlighting the steps taken putting in the pond and clearing the path back through the woods. That is awesome that you son was right there by your side !

Great job as always. Quick question, I watch your live feeder cam. Why do your deer have several ticks behind their ears? Some of the deer are covered behind the ears.

Hi Lee. Have you ever considered using Dr. Grant Wood’s (Growing Deer KZbin Channel) planting techniques to help with erosion and low moisture conditions? I would love to see you guys get together and create a video of best practices.

Just found the channel. When building ponds....what is needed to add to the soil to prevent the water from absorbing down into the soil and loosing the pond?

Your buddy did you a solid by giving you a hand with his dozer and operator. Renting a d6 is way more than 100 bucks a day. You can't even get delivery for that😂
