Hi Diana, that's really amazing - especially your ultra thin glass glitter - I love the sparkling corners! Just got a question: I've seen you had a few drops on the backside of your canvas. How you get rid of them at the end of your project. Thanks for a tip. Best wishes.
@diankapours6214 Жыл бұрын
Hey! Before I start pouring, I line the black panel with painters tape. So then when I'm finished with the pouring process, I allow the resin to harden for several days and then flip the painting over (of course lay it on something soft). Then I use a heat gun to gently heat up the drips and remove them as I pull back the tape. Hope this helps!

This answered so many questions I had before starting my first piece! I do have one more though: When you added the glitter glass and the varnish gold etc, do you do a final top coat with resin so everything is sealed in? How does the glitter glass stay stuck down?
@diankapours6214 Жыл бұрын
Happy to hear the video was helpful! I did not add another clear coat to seal in the gold that I painted on. The varnish itself is like a seal and doesn't come off so I dont need to do anything to it. As for the glitter glass, I start by drizzling resin over the fireglass and then sift the glitter glass on top of it. The glitter glass will stick to the resin and secure itself onto there once it dries!
