Hello nice job there dear. I wish to know how your inks got to the edges. Because on the hanged canvas i can see the edges well designed but i didnt see you doing that on your video. Thanks
@EllePours Жыл бұрын
Hey there! I later after filming painted the edges black. If your epoxy is starting to harden it’s the perfect time to do the edges properly. If you’re not so lucky you paint them after (the dripping look is my personal favourite but not every buyer agrees, depending on the piece it truly depends) the drips are organic in this case. If you’re working with soft edged wood the edges are much easier to control. Sharp edges like this aren’t as easy and need perfect timing with your epoxy. I hope I answered your question well ❤️ - Elle

I hope you mention the proportions of resin i like how its so clear
@EllePours2 жыл бұрын
Proportions are always 1:1 with epoxy. It’s always on the bottle and some brands might be different.

Bravo. Except mica powder can we use acril paints with epoxy and how mutch on%?
@EllePours2 жыл бұрын
I’m not sure I understand the question… if you’re asking ratios, every brand is different. 10% mica is usually the maximum with epoxy.

@elle pours I love your work..im curious as to how does the middle small crystal stick i did see u put redin on top of it but it was a small amount drizzledis that enough?, did u first mix them with resin or did i miss some step. Thanks
@EllePours2 жыл бұрын
Hey there! Usually during the top coat I drizzle more. Before detailing, I usually move it around and see if I get any fall out. If so, I drizzle more during top coat. After that I dust all the access off and it creates small divots which I love the look of. Hope that helps!

I was wondering if there’s a way to stop the black from seeping under the crystals. I know you paint some gold so it don’t matter. But, I’d love to know if there’s a technique to prevent that from happening.
@EllePours2 жыл бұрын
Hey there! You can actually do the crystals in a separate session with clear. Let it cure for (12-24 hours depending on the brand) and start pouring your design.

Hi, is this mdf board or canvas. Will the canvas board last long life, or resin will damage the piece. Plz explain. I have this doubt longtime
@EllePours Жыл бұрын
This is a wooden panel canvas designed for heavy holding. A real canvas will be damaged using heavy product like epoxy so this is to make sure it’s for a long life as long as it’s been taken care of. I do Timelapse’s for peaceful watching and for people to watch but there are many people offering classes who will explain much further if you need that.

I watched 2 videos of you as I searched resin painting in canvas. What kind of canvas that you use?? I wanted to make resin painting for my both parents & stepdad birthday. But I doubt about what canvas I should use. I'm new for resin painting. Usually only keychains, rings, bros. I usually painting in canvas with acrylic paint. I hope you always be happy & healthy from inside & outside..
@EllePours2 жыл бұрын
Hey there! When I first started I used canvas but it’s actually too heavy for a normal canvas. My small ones never broke but the larger the more at risk. It’s also self leveling so I was wasting a lot of product (it just kept sinking to the middle) I now use wooden panels. You can get them from curry’s art supply! I highly recommend, especially if you’re using glass and crystals too!
@sereatershort Жыл бұрын
Hey, how are you new to watching you & wow! same here I do the acrylic paint just started & want to do the resin as well, so when you're saying wood just like a regular flat piece or a certain kind, thanks in advance. lol I want to try 😀

Ellie how did you adhere the crystals at the beginning. I could not tell if you pored clear epoxy on them before you started adding the black epoxy design
@EllePours2 жыл бұрын
Hey there! Yes I take clear epoxy and drizzle it on top, you can do it multiple ways though. If you add white pigmented epoxy as a layer underneath, you can pour your glass and Quartz over it too. I recommend white so they pop and the true shine comes through. I usually just paint the canvas first so I don’t do that, but the odd time I switch it up ☺️
@Hanna_az33 Жыл бұрын
Is that a canvas underneath? If not what is it called please 🙏🏻????
@EllePours Жыл бұрын
Hey there! It's actually a wooden panel from Curry's art supply. I recommend wood for strength, epoxy and glass are heavy materials so it will give you extra longevity. It also gives you more control pouring as it won't tip in while curing. Hope this helps!

@EllePours2 жыл бұрын
I’m not sure at all. I didn’t measure this one as it was a smaller piece. I personally only truly measure quantities if a piece is really big because it affects the price of the piece but I didn’t use much for this size canvas.

you are showing without advising how many days you are leaving for dry , just contineously showing your video will not teach others how to impliement , what is the use of making video , after painting how many you are drying before resin is applied ? no information? correct yourself in videos
@EllePours Жыл бұрын
I replied to your other comment. You need to correct your behaviour and pay for a damn class. I’m not teaching but thanks for the ridicule. Go make coasters if you’re that incapable of understanding epoxy… you should not be trying to create larger items yet at your level and that isn’t my responsibly to hold your hand. I didn’t even have Timelapse’s when I learned, it’s called research and practise.
@imthusan Жыл бұрын
show what you use paints and materials , stright away your videos strts from painting which is useless
@EllePours Жыл бұрын
This is so entitled it’s insane. Not only is this not a free class- it’s a Timelapse. It’s designed so the buyer of the art can see how their piece was made. I’m also an open book unlike almost every single artist on this platform. I share every piece of info I can for FREE. I show all my materials (it’s called pausing) which I do not have to do at all. This is also an older video and my new layout has it in the details. I do KZbin for fun not a job, in fact I work full time, do art part time, keep up with my social media’s SOMEHOW in the small periods of time I do have. Again, you sound entitled and quite frankly an absolute asshole. Go PAY for a class- there are many artists who have courses designed for people learning. If you’re that early in your stages using epoxy I would suggest you start small and learn the product because your previous comment about dry times is very very very basic knowledge and if you’re making a canvas already you’re too new into this material.
