Wow! I worry for the continuance of humanity when people think they have to share incorrect ways of doing basic tasks they will most likely never have the need to do if the proper common sense had been applied in the first place.

On your wire splicing, it is better to offset the splices so they won’t be close to each other. Less chance of shorting out.

I didn't know most of these (and most I did know I'd forgotten). I need to know how to replace insulation on thon electric wire that cannot be disconnected so you cannot use heat-shrink. Removed car's petrol pump and the level sensor wiring sheath/insulation is damaged.
@creationholic101
@creationholic101 2 ай бұрын
Thank you for sharing your situation! For insulation repair without heat shrink, using a liquid electrical tape might help. Let me know if this works for you!

The knot/wire where the wires are connected to each other is as double as thick as the rest of the wire. The resistance and hence the heat will increase which nobody wants. Unfortunately bad idea. It's better to properly solder wires together by thinning out each part so that you'll get the same thickness- always.

Thanks for the feedback! You're absolutely right, proper soldering is the key for a stable connection.
