Most Effective And Robust Adhesive With Baking Soda And Super Glue

Excellent ideas. One word of caution. I learned this the hard way a few weeks ago. I accidentally knocked my Les Paul guitar off its stand and seriously cracked the neck. Because I needed the adhesive to flow all the way into the cracks, I decided to use super glue because of its water-link consistency. I used a 3ml hypodermic syringe with 18 gauge needle which I filled with the super glue so that I could inject the glue deeply into the crack. I intentionally used a lot of glue hoping it would ooze out. I immediately attached the clamps to hold the neck back together tightly with the intention of wiping off the excess glue. At that very moment, I discovered how noxious the fumes are when using that much superglue. I couldn't breathe around it and it immediately left my eyes burning severely. Consequently, I wasn't able to rub off the excess glue which meant I had a lot of unnecessary sanding to do once everything set up. The next time I work with that much super glue, I'll wear a respirator and eye protection.

A little fan beside your work area blows the fumes away nicely.

@@creationholic101 1) Can u please confirm the ratio of how much graphite powder & baking soda you used in your video? Is it same amount for each (1 to 1 ratio)? Or more of one than the other? 2) what was that u used to apply the glue into the gear teeth filler space? Is that a special syringe/ applicator tip..where to get? 3) what is the purpose to drill the holes through the gear? (Wondering what is the objective for doing that..if needed or can skip this step etc). Thank you for a really amazing video !!!
