I’m a beginner in crocheting and never really comment on crocheting videos, BUT as my thanks to you I commented and subscribed (because you obviously deserve it) and I just want to say THANK YOU, THANK YOU SO MUCH, I really don’t know how to explain it in words but literally god bless you, I needed to crochet something for my friend’s birthday party and had no idea what to crochet until I saw your video, I didn’t really believe in myself but at the same time I kept on pushing because usually the tutorials are hard to understand and a little bit complicated. BUT I DID NOT EXPECT IT TO BE SO EASY AND UNDERSTANDABLE, like I’ve watched the other tutorials and they are a little similar but your’s is TRULY the best. You explained it very well, you showed how to do it very well, overall you did everything VERY WELL.❤❤

Would i still use a size 9mm book if I'm using different size yarn?
@creationsmisfit5 ай бұрын
Hi! It depends on what size yarn. If you are using a smaller yarn, you will want to size down your hook so that there aren't holes in your project. You can also hold two strands together if you use a size 4 or size 5 yarn. Then still use a 9mm hook. And if your yarn is thicker than size 6, then you will want to go up in hook size. 🥰

Hi, it's hard for me to say what the issue is if I don't have your project in front of me to see it. I would say try to count again and if it's just like one stitch off, that's ok. If I use size 5 yarn, do i still use a 9mm hook?
@creationsmisfit5 ай бұрын
That will probably be too big of a hook and it will leave holes in your project. I would try a 7 mm hook and see how that works. It will be smaller than mine since it's a smaller yarn and hook. Or you can use two strands of your size 5 yarn and use a 10 mm hook and it will be bigger than the one in the video. I hope this helps!

Hi there, how much yarn needed for 11 inch heart?
@creationsmisfit7 ай бұрын
Hi! I'm trying to remember how much I used. I know I could get at least 2, if not more, hearts out of a 220 yard ball. So maybe 75-100 yards? I'm sorry I don't know an exact amount 💕

What kind of yarn did you use to mske the heart
@creationsmisfit7 ай бұрын
Hi! I usually use Bernat Blanket yarn for these. Or Yarn Bee Cozy Occasion. It's a size 6 chenille type yarn. But you can use anything you'd like. Even a smaller yarn, but then your heart will be smaller than this one. 🥰

I'm so bad at following patterns idk how i end up with the wrong amount of stitches at the end of a row all the dang time! I get sick of redoing rows just to end up with the wrong amount again so ill often end up backing up the row a little decreasing or increasing to the correct number of stitches, and then being unsatisfied with the shape (i know what i did) lol i just feel silly. Im almost done but i gotta say my special little heart is looking a little funny 😅
@creationsmisfit Жыл бұрын
Aww I used to do the same with the increases and decreases to match a pattern and I'd end up with something that looked "similar" to what they had haha. It would take me a few times to get it right. An imperfect heart sounds special to me! 🥰

I was also wondering if i wanted to make it bigger could i just add a few rounds to the top pieces and then increase the amount of sc after attaching them and work my way down?
@creationsmisfit Жыл бұрын
Hi! I'm so glad you liked it! Yes just kind of keep doing the same pattern down. Maybe do 12 sc in the magic circle. And then after attaching, instead of doing 5 sts and then a decrease, you may want to start with 6 sts, then a decrease. Then work your way down to just decreases just like we did in this pattern.

Where do you buy that yarn because irdk what exact size the yarns are online
@creationsmisfit10 ай бұрын
Hi, you can buy Bernat Blanket almost anywhere. That's the most popular chenille style Size 6 yarn in the US. Joann's, Michael's, Walmart, etc. And plenty of places online, just search Bernat Blanket. Any size 6 yarn will do and online they will tell you the size. Hobby Lobby also has a size 6 alternative chenille as does Walmart! I hope this helps 🥰

@creationsmisfit Жыл бұрын
Hi! I'm so glad you enjoyed the tutorial 🥰 If you go to 11:40 on the video, that's where I close up the hole at the top. But ylsince yours is done, you can just take a piece of yarn and stitch back and forth to close it now. Then run your yarn through part of the pillow and cut it off. I hope this helps! 😊

Thank you. You made this so easy to follow. My heart was a success. Speaking from a person with very little crotchet experience. Can you please tell me how would I be able to do a larger one. Special request from my mom 😊
@creationsmisfit7 ай бұрын
Hi! Thank you, I'm so glad it was helpful. Without completely changing the counts, I'd say the easiest way to make a larger one would be to use the next biggest yarn like a Bernat BIG yarn. I've had several people do that and they turned out so nice! You'd need a larger hook as well. Or you could hold two strands of the regular blanket yarn together with a larger hook. I hope this helps! 🥰

@creationsmisfit Жыл бұрын
Hi! You can use the Bernat Blanket BIG yarn. Another girl did that and made a very large pillow! Or you can start with maybe 12 SC in each magic Circle, but then you'd have to change up the counts for each round if you're comfortable with that. I haven't worked out a pattern for that large. I hope this helps! 🥰
@nancyn4697 Жыл бұрын
@@creationsmisfit Hello, so i’m going to basically just increase the amount of stitches in the magic circle like let’s say i’ll do 14 stitches. I’ll just follow your tutorial like normal passed the magic circle round? I bought a 101 yards 6 yarn and I still had A LOT of extra when I finished, so i didn’t want to waste
@creationsmisfit Жыл бұрын
@nancyn4697 hi! Yes, you will just follow it as normal after the magic Circle round. You will obviously have more stitches, so the counts won't be the same for each round, but the actual stitches will be, if that makes sense. And you may have to do an extra round or two at the very end if the heart is not coming to a close yet since you will have more stitches. In that case, just repeat the very last round until you are satisfied with the point 😊
