exactly. its corporate cyberstalking and harassment basically - just what ive been saying all along. well observed. also the other day, legend of total war described them phoning him up to tell him "youre out" because he criticised thrones of britannia. and criticising the games was all i ever did to start all this. i play the games and im about gameplay and willing to perform it if its good, or criticise it when its shit. that puts a target on your back (they are intolerant of anyone that isnt a stockholm syndromed battered wife shill), as we have seen time and time again.@@Whatup996

ESG (short for Environmental, Social, and Governance) is a fund that companies can get if they implement Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) practices in their hiring and work environment, which boils down to getting the most diversity hires they can and that's why the main cast of Hyenas looked like it came straight out of an maniac asylum for Twitter users. By Finkcore I was referring to Larry Fink, the guy behind ESG, who you can find multiple videos here on KZbin saying he created ESG as a way to "force societal change."

If only there was a good case study of what happens when you just stop all damage control, let the hate roll in, extract all the good criticism you can from it, put your head down, and work your ass off to create the product that your consumer wants. The case of KZbin not blatantly following someone's request to delete videos is exceptional. Whoever in KZbin moderation reviewed that case - props to you, great job there. Even if you get clapped by your superiors for denying the CA shitheads their damage control... Just remember. You did the right thing, your conscience is clear.

@@David_Brinkerhoff93 There's a thing called disagreement. Fact is, that Volund did use their material and that non released works do have special protection. I agree that it seems to fall under fair use, but it's certainly not cut and dry, as any fair use disbute is. By their very nature they're not clearly defined. Thus honest disageements can exist. In this case everything went well and one big company stood up to the other. The system does work pretty well.

If anything this is definitive proof that CA is distressed about what you're doing and that they think it's having a negative impact on them. Failing to make good games is one thing but being absolute scumbags is entirely another. People went from "Down with Corporations" to "Leave that multi-million dollar Corporation alone" in...honestly it happened so fast I don't even know. The public opinion shifted when the real big boy Corporations were getting flak, so they turned movements against them into movements that either ignored or supported them, which trickled down towards """lesser""" Corporations. Plus the "consoomer" culture that followed that are essentially cults for said Corporations (take a shot everytime I said Corporations) that greatly stamp out any criticism of these Corporations.

CA did this sort of thing during the Rome 2 debacle when loads of people uploaded vids to KZbin criticizing the game's awful release and the game itself, which was dog-shit. There were a few KZbinrs that had vid-takedown requests and even channel takedwons as well I think. "They don't like it when you shoot at 'em" -Mal Reynolds, from 'Firefly'. ;-)

Gotta say I'm impressed with KZbin's response, it looks like all those 'where's the fair use' videos worked. Governments however should institute a penalty for obviously malicious, perjurus copyright takedowns. You should be getting a check for 10 grand in the mail plus any potential lost revenue if the video had gone down.

Just on the "by illegal means" - presumably this is based on an nda with the employee who leaked it. In which case, that employee would be breaking the law. But ndas are not transitive. You didn't sign an nda with CA, and so it's not illegal for you to repeat information covered by someone else's nda.

Fuck dude, I'm so depressed when I think about the state of Total War franchise. As far back as I can remember I always like strategy games and napoleon became my favorite game of all times but I played pretty much all of them except S1 and M1 because I was too young. Last one I bought was Rome 2 which was OK for me, definitely not as good as Shogun 2 or Napoleon for me but fuck man... Just looking at the shit fiesta right now makes me sad because its all in the past, it will never happen again and I'm getting older and older and who knows if I will be looking back at this franchise anymore... Damn, I feel nostalgic and depressed now.

Man, absolutely horrific. CA just can't stop failing. They apparently just have zero capacity for self reflection. I'd love to be their biggest simp, I mean, I'm perfectly willing to spend tons on Warhammer, just its insane how much quality has dropped, how nasty they are, how abusive.
