Ha! I laughed a bit because I learned and got my DL when I was 34! I was pregnant with my 3rd child and when I moved to the US it is a must to be able to drive. Being originally from Peru, I've always gotten around in bus, taxi. Distances are not as long thus I had no urgency in getting a car or a license. Thanks for another great card. Yana, Both of your Cards are so Breathtaking, Beautiful. Quite Exquisite , I remember you showing us the pink card and I couldn't think of a more beautiful gold embossing to put on that csrd. The teal shades with the silver embossing is quite Exquisite. I've hear other well known Card makers say that the embossing powder doesn't damage your copic Markers? Beautiful card and a great technique. I didn't learn how to drive until I was 26. All of my life I lived in NYC and walked, took the bus or the subway. I was moving to southern NJ which didn't have public transportation or sidewalks :-/ (my future husband lived there). I've been driving now for 30 years. I wish you luck and before you know it, you will be driving like a pro.

This card is absolutely beautiful, love it in both colors. I think it's great that you're learning to drive. At my age I'm just learning to make cards. I didn't get my license until I was 23 and my husband and I had just got out of the Army. Every one of my eight aunts died in their 80's never having learned to drive. That was the old days. I don't know you but I'm proud of you, it's a big step. Be safe out there.

I have a friend who is 64 and has no desire to learn how to drive. It was tricky when her husband was deployed and their kids too young to drive. Driving? Congrats 🍾. At least you are getting the opportunity to learn. I’m assuming you have completed your driver education and have your license. Awesome 👏🏽 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽. Driving is a necessity in my opinion. I’m 66 and never got my license. I did learn how but the process was never completed. It’s one of those things in life that once you do learn, you don’t necessarily forget. You will get rusty if you don’t use it. For me, it was the summer of 1972; I didn’t have a summer job lined up as I had just graduated from high school. A friend that lived in the same complex as my family and I did had suggested it. So we spent about 6-10 weeks at the public high school near us learning in the simulator, on the driving range, and then a little bit in traffic with one of the instructors. My friend was way luckier than I was. Her father took her out practicing in everyday traffic quite a bit. He bought her a car soon after. I didn’t get the proper support from family. They felt since I didn’t have a car 🚗 there was no need for me to even learn. The laws in my state had just changed in 1972 in terms of teaching drivers education to teenagers. In this country many a teen does get the opportunity to learn how to drive if they are in a public school as part of their high school curriculum. Provided said school has the required equipment mandated by state law. Also, quite a few households had at least one vehicle. We had a car but it was a serious “lemon” and my mom ended up dumping it. There’s a tad more to this but I don’t want to write it here. Oh well, such is life. Bucket list? I hope so before I leave this earth.

I’m so happy for you! Driving a car is a great responsibility, but it’s a great freedom too!! I love love love these cards...I think I would do the black outline stamp and then heat emboss... I’m not really steady handed to color it heat embossed😃
