Dude, being a 3d artist I have asked myself these same questions many times.. but really, you don't actually need to have a pilot's license to fly by yourself.. I found out just doing paragliding as a hobbyist is very much in reach for a normal person like me, it is fun and by far not so expensive and time consuming, compared to flying an airplane..

@@yaschan99 it might not be for everyone, but it works out for me ..pretty much like you described, getting out, gain a fresh view on things.. if you are interested why don't you do a guided test flight.
