I love that this uses spent or languishing supplies! Those would go so well with bookmarks, which I give as gifts with books! Also for bracelets! Thanks so much! 🥰👍

(tiny wire folded will help thread easy, and yes even glue or clear nail polish at the ends of your threads will really make the sting thread faster.) Thank you sincerely for sharing, beautiful work. "God is with us in our creations" 💕👸🏆🙆🎖️

Thank you for this video! Why is it necessary to use the book page with the Washi tape?
@TheTreasuredPage
@TheTreasuredPage Жыл бұрын
Great question. You could use just the washi tape on its own but that would use up more to create the desired thickness. Washi tape isn’t always very sticky but it does seem to stick better to a rougher texture such as book page. Paper beads can be made with any paper, plain or coloured, I used washi tape because the challenge called for it. I added it with the paper backing mainly to get it off the stick and ensure the bead would not be sticky inside. Any thin paper backing works great to give the bead more strength and structure it doesn’t need to be book page newspaper would be good too. Thank you so much watching 🦋

Can you tell me the measurement of your stick, not length but round please? The sticks I have seem thinner than the one you're using.
@TheTreasuredPage
@TheTreasuredPage Жыл бұрын
Any stick works, as long as you can handle it, and it allows a gap for you to thread, the beads. I think mine was a kebab skewer from the kitchen, probably 4 or 5 mm. I hope that helps. Thank you for watching 🦋

A bit confused- I didn’t think the English worked in Imperial measurements. Only the USA, Myanmar and some obscure third country did. Very backward thinking. I find it confusing as l only think in metric. If this video is aimed at the American market, fair enough but many of us internationally watch as well. Love the beads, now l know what to do with the washi tape l don’t like.
@TheTreasuredPage
@TheTreasuredPage Жыл бұрын
Thank you for your feedback. At the time of filming my audience was 95% American. I try to give measurements in metric as well now. I was taught many skills by my grandmother and learnt to quilt and make patchwork from America. Inches are in my head. By both are all lost on me anyway, I’m try to a avoid measuring all together and I mainly make it up as I go…in true English eccentric style 😉 Thank you for watching I hope you find more inspiration here at The Treasured Page 🦋
