How to make round paper beads - are you stuck on how to make round paper beads? Are you fed up with making the usual tapered paper beads but can't quite fathom how to get nice big round paper beads?

Thank you 🙏- looking back, it was a bit of a convoluted process! But those beads ended up meaning the absolute world to me. My mum lived with us until she passed away in August 2022 at 94. After I made that video, she fell in love with the necklace. So I gave it to her and she wore it practically every day until she died. So many people complimented her on the necklace, because it went with whatever she wore, no matter what the color. She always very proudly told them, ‘my daughter made that!’ 😍It now adorns the brim of my dad’s old straw sunhat. He passed away in 2018 and I keep the hat and necklace as a happy reminder of them both, in the room in which my mum spent her last days. I had no idea how special those beads would become when I was making them. Thanks so much for watching and taking time to leave a comment. 💕🙏

I've used a similar technique to get round beads, but I was so picky that I tried to cut my strips with no waste at all. I think your way will work better!

Hi Colleen, I have responded on IG - I do sell them but it depends where in the world you are. There has been an ongoing international postage issue with Etsy which is why I have taken the listing down for now. If they ever sort the issue out I will reinstate my physical listings. Are you ever afraid the nail polish may eventually wear off of the beads the way it wear off of our nails?

Hi Judilynn, I suppose it’s possible but so far it hasn’t happened to any I’ve sealed like that. I guess it’s the constant abuse our nails take from everything we do with our hands that Chips away at nail polish. Unless we are putting our paper bead bracelets etc through the same daily stresses, they should be ok. I don’t use clear nail polish all the time, I use lots of different things to seal paper beads and so far, they’ve all been fine - even the single paper bead I was wearing on a choker when I went swimming and forgot to take off! It did start to unravel but I dried it and re-glued it and it is still going strong! Thanks for watching and taking time to comment. 💕🙏

Hi Catrina, it is still there if you follow the proper links. I just tested it and it comes up straight away. Occasionally people click on a link from an advert so it’s possible you did that. Ciao Olga, La carta che ho usato era carta fotografica opaca da 200 gsm. Sarebbe difficile usare la carta per riviste in quanto di solito è piuttosto sottile. Hai bisogno di carta spessa 200 gsm. Puoi usare la carta per riviste se la sovrapponi, ma è troppo esigente e impiega troppo tempo per tagliare tutte le strisce. La misura per le strisce che ho realizzato è di 35 pollici di lunghezza con una base di 3/4 di pollice. Puoi ottenere il modello gratuito tagliato in tre sul mio sito web.
