Enrico Zimuel is a italian software engineer that works in the R&D Department of Zend Technologies, the PHP Company in California (USA), he is also the co-founder of the PHP User Group of Turin (Italy). In his talk "Creative programming, the art to create using a computer language" he says how creativity is important in programming and the different ways of capturing non-mathematical behaviour in order to translate it in programming later on.
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)

I would use a noise generator to create random numbers...but I think some tecnician should compensate for temperature changes on a semiconductor to get a serie of values indipendently from temperature
