I have them and I also got a pair of ath ad1000’s ( there’s something about these that make you feel like you’re in the game and I find it easier to tell whether someone is above or below me than the D7200’s)

Are these more positionally accurate/provide a more immersive gaming experience than the cans that I’ve mentioned?

Hi, thanks for the review and thumbs up. I am wanting something that will drive my Audio Technica M40x headphones a bit better than my Samsung S10 can for music. The headphones are rated at 35ohms and I'm finding even at full volume that the S10 is a bit feeble, there is bass clipping and compression dips. Will this thing do the trick? TIA

very great in-dept review! only thing I would like to see tho is how this device is actually setup on a PS4? Would be better seeing how did you set it up and show it actually works. And hopefully you give us an update if you got the chance to get a PS5. I feel like I dont like to buy this if it only works on ps4. (currently using ps4 and waiting for the stocks of ps5). anyways thanks for the review!

thank you for the kind words! that's a good suggestion. I currently do not own ps5 and need to get one. I know for ps5 most audiophiles are using a splitter to split out the audio from the HDMI signal.

If this had an optical out like the g6 it would be perfect in my opinion. The ability to use the dsp from this with any high end headphone amp/dac of your choice.

Hello! I have some Audiotechnica AD700x. I use them directly on the ps4 controller. Sometimes when opening boxes, or opening doors (Warzone), I feel that the sound is distorted, like it cracks. Do you think this device can help with the audio with the headset I have? Thanks a lot!

the AD700 is a pretty easy headphone to drive. I'm guessing the flaw you describe is a limitation of the actual headphone and not the power from the controller. That's a guess though, it's been over 10 years since I've had the AD700 around.

I know the video is kinda old but i still have a few questions, perhaps anyone could answer them?: 1st: Does the software change the EQ settings on the fly based on the EXE being run? 2nd: For example let's say i have a Warzone/MW eq would it run automatically when i start the game? or Do you have to manually change the EQ before/after running the game? It only changes manually, or using the physical button ( turns white when 'on' ) if you make a profile for the Equalizer producing similar results ( as we can't export from SBX tab into Equalizer tab, sadly they are not compatible ) . I wish it was like the Logitech app, that changes profiles on the fly.

The MH752 has fantastic sound quality for the price but was very disappointing to me in regards to imaging for competitive PVP.

Hi mate just come across your page as I’ve been looking for videos on this product reason being brought a new controller for my PS4 but my headset sounds awful through it but only the mic audio so I tried my Astro a10s through my console but it sounds very low will this g3 enhance the audio and mic audio for my headset if I’m just plugging my wired headset straight into my PS4 console ? If so will it make it a lot more louder than just putting it in the ps4??? Great video by the way

I haven't tried the A10s so I can't say for sure but the G3 should give you a cleaner signal and more volume. On the mic you may need to use their mic crystalizer in the software.

I had an x-fi xtreme music in my former pc but is old pci slot. It's not slot compatible with my new pc that has onboard sound (realtek alc1200). Would this get me near or above from my previous soundcard or is it no better than the onboard sound I have? I miss the punch and clarity...Help please.

HI! I still have the same x-fi xtreme music card in my retro win xp machine, and have the G3 in my current rig. Haven't compared them, but I think the G3 totally worth the price, for me the main cause was the virtual headphone feature, which I loved about the x-fi cards, too. For me the bass was a bit weak at stock, but you can customize that with the equalizer, which is nice. Sure, a G5 and G6 must have better audio quality, but a G6 has the 3x price of this.

@@user-mt2jn3oi4l I bought a Mayflower Arc Mk2, and eventually bought the G6. I have no experience with the G3, but in my opinion the G6 sounds as good as the Mayflower, and maybe a little better. I can say the G6 has been worth the money for me. It pairs exceptionally well with the Beyerdynamic DT990 Pro headphones I use.

Purchased this for Speaker use. 24bit 48hz FLAC usage. 20 years using PC's iv never had this much silly software issues. But my god the Command drivers are janky as hell. The thing works without fail, its just the software. The software, on boot up will just default to 25% volume, sometimes the software will just exit as soon as you open it. When you turn off SBX Profile it will crash/exit. Only when your playing music will it not completely crash/exit when changing both SBX or Equalizer options. All with a new Windows 10 Pro (64bit) install and upto date Command drivers + software. Maybe will try with Headphones and games over Christmas. but have a RealTek for that. Iv had a Sound Blaster Live and Audagy 2 without probs in the past.

Wished I saw this DAC sooner. I must say this is a game changer. I play MW2 and the audio is just terrible. After using this, i'm enjoying the game a lot more. I use the Vocal preset instead of the Footstep enhancer mode which I find is a lot better.
