Creative does make good products. I have a Creative Sound Blaster AE-7 in my system and it sounds so much better than my motherboard's built in sound card.

Thumbs up, you're the first reviewer I've come across who has actually commented on SOUND QUALITY. Everyone else discusses all the features but then gloss over the most important part: To what extent it improves sound quality. Nobody wants to A-B test a product they finally receive only to find it's barely an improvement, so I can't understand why reviewers don't talk about it. Would be interesting to compare it to my Ifi Zen DAC to see how close the G3 gets to solid budget DAC/amp that costs twice as much.

Seems like a gem of a product! I have an Asus Xonar Essense STX laying around because I did’t want to include it in my latest build for cosmetic reasons and plus I didn’t want to deal with the hassle of the drivers not being natively supported in windows 10. This little gadget motivates me to sell the Xonar product to pick up one of these.

The Asus Xonar Essence STX world fine for me on windows 10. Never thought about driver compatibility but for me it kept working when I moved from windows 7 to 10.

Had issues with iems having hiss on my Huawei mate 20 Pro. I got a small dac that's way more portable though it has less features and can't handle high impedance headphones (but therefore perfect for low impedance). I would recommend the Musiland Mu1 for iems (recommend them over the newer versions since newer versions have higher output impedance) I wish phones got good dacs again like my LG v20 had

Yeah, I miss good audio output on phones. I would also like phones to come with better stereo speakers. That's the only reason I bought my HTC U12+ last year. Well, except for the fact that my old Sony Z2 no longer can make or receive calls. ;)

my microphone i suspect is from the 90s uses a 3.5mm jack and is rather quiet when using for gaming, discord etc. will this device boost that volume so others can hear me better?
