Creative Sound BlasterX G6 unboxing and review

This is an unboxing and review of the Creative Sound BlasterX G6 an AMP/DAC that works with PC, PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.
This is a DAC that's 32bit 384kHz capable and delivers a DNR of up to 130dB. It, therefore, increases the volume of your 3.5mmm headset or headphones, but also adds:

SoundBlasterX sound
Scout Mode
Various equaliser settings

This is a neat little DAC that really makes a difference to levels - it certainly makes a 3.5mm headset or headphones a lot louder. It also has loads of different sound options within the Creative software (stick to the end to see that).

This paired with the audio Technica ATH-ADG1X is by far the best sound quality i have had for games. Mainly use it to play R6 siege and MW and the clarity is just superb. The volume levels are a massive bonus for me too as ive found most headsets volume too low especially for R6 siege.

I've owned one for 11 months now and so far it's working really well. My only real issue is after unplugging and plugging in the micro usb so many times, it's become loose and every now and then I have to adjust the spring tabs to make it securely connect.

Thnx for the great review, any tips on the settings you use? I have the G6 connected to my TV directly via optical. Using it with my Sennheiser HD 598 mainly for movies. Any advice would be appreciated.

I am tempted to purchase this however the "side tone" or "mic monitor" settings apparently have a 50ms delay which can be quite annoying to hear.

I'm using this with my Switch & PS5, but i can't stand the glowing light emitting around the Volume dial, and Bright red X logo. Is there any way to turn them off somehow?
