I don’t use it as my main interface anymore after getting a new computer. I run the optical i/o of the apogee in standalone mode into my rme so it just works as an analog to digital converter giving me 8 more analog ins and outs.

I was coming here to say the same thing. Run it in standalone and use it until the thing dies.
